Just read the 1.7 patch notes and yup, as expected, they've made the AV fit practically useless. The one thing that I'm really good at in this game and they've just made like swinging a wet noodle at tanks and LAV and dropships that were pretty hard to kill already. Oh joy, oh joy, oh joy... Not like running around the battle waving a flare/swarm launcher trying to kill vehicles was risky enough as it is, now those of us who do it regularly will be essentially thumping tanks et all with our fingers rather than applying possibly lethal force against them. Oh joy. Thanks CCP. Ya just probably have nerfed me out of this game. |

Tanks were changed too, can't people read? Just attack them when they are in their cooldown and they will die instantly!!!

current situation
swarms are great at killing tanks, nearly useless for drop ships, and pretty good against lav's. can't do anything to infantry.
forge guns easily wipe the floor with all 3, and has no issues with anything even infantry.
tanks get murdered by both quite well.
post change
swarms will not even be able to target drop ships, lav's will be gone beforey ou can get a lock, and you'll need to be inside the tanks kill range, and even then It's damage was reduced quite well. 33% damage reduction and 50+% range reduction
forges will operate better then how they do now( about a 15% hit to dps isn't even enough to counter the hit to tanks ).
hav's will get straight up ganked by forges, but the light infantry AV no longer exists. |

No way is there people who play just to run AV fit's and find vehicles to blow up.... no way!!!!???!?!
CCP is probably surprised this game play in DUST even existed. Swarm launchers as far as the forums told them where only Over powered Assault's switching to their proto-swarm's to kill a tank briefly
the tankers and lav drivers who asked "How do they have a swarm launcher already? i just brought out my vehicle.." Never really understood there is an entire gameplay aspect around it...
CCP took balanced AV to Vehicle combat in Chromosome and threw it all out the window and did a half fast rework and made the one game play route the Madrugar (armor was **** before) viable... meanwhile giving no attention to shield tanks and making them ****...
Then reworking swarm's in a matter that EVERYONE told them was gonna be crazy over powered.....
It's the oversight that i hope is becoming present with the new Executive Producer.
The ability of CCP before they tackle a problem or issue to write down all the variables that will be or c ould be affected by it and changing anything about it. And if they don't know? Ask... we would love to weigh in any opinion's and make sure none of the variables or any minority is forgotten. |

Of course I can read and other than the limited amo there's nothing there that says tanks are suddenly a lot less lethal and easier to kill. Just wait until their cooldown? That's your suggestion? Wait while carrying a weapon that's absolutely useless against infantry and a secondary weapon that's absolutely useless against infantry more than 10/12 meters away? Methinks you don't run an AV fit very often. |

I don't mind the damage nerf so much; though it's complete bullsh!t that the proto SL won't even be able to take out a militia LAV even with your highs filled with damage mods and prof 5 except maybe for the onikuma, which nobody uses. It's the lock-on range nerf that bothers me. Everything but a tank (with exception to speed tanks) will be able to get out of range before you even have a chance to lock-on

Methinks you don't run an AV fit very often. all im going to say is that you are ignorant. swarms are incredible OP and tanks got nerfed further in the ground again. swarms will be even stronger then they were before. do the math on tank fittings and you will find out. |

less lethal how about my gunlogi has 3 highs instead of 5 or that our overall shielding and armour will be greatly reduced as well as having no passive modules to buffer damage while our actives are on cool down . Yes tanks will be very powerfull whilst mods are active for 30 seconds at a time but be very venerable even more so than now during cool down.

Except a LAV would be a light suit, not a heavy and there's an adv scrambler pistol that can one shot body shot a militia light suit; hell, there's even a std scrambler pistol that can do that.

You sir are beyond ignorant. Just because tanks got a slight nerf doesn't mean that swarms will be any stronger. The proto swarms then will be doing what the std swarms does now and you will have to be within the range that a tank could easily kill you and if the tank has infantry support you can just completely forget about it.
