It's easy to see why so many people loathe Logi suits. The assault suits are just terrible overall and have unreal fitting limitations.
They should really take some high level players and try to help them understand what is wrong with these suits. From everything I read from the Devs that play the game, they all spec into all sorts of crap and haven't specialized in anything. I'm not sure they are even aware of the issues aside from the QQing on the forums.
The Minmatar scout and assault suits are easily the worst suits in the game.
Remove time in battle from ISK payout formula and provide a bonus to winning team... Watch battles become fun again.

The Minmatar scout and assault suits are easily the worst suits in the game. I completely agree, they would never of nerfed shields if people actively moaned on the forums about said Minmatar suits. The Mk.0 is basically a glorified scout suit with about an extra 200HP(at a push), and no stealth. Basically they need a decent testing team to be able to play the game with every suit. Because directly nerfing the Mk.0 with no hotfix is an issue. It was already bad... but now... I mean CCP has graphs, lots of graphs.. how can they not see that the suit is not being used in PC. It needs adressing.
From the sound of it, the shield nerf was a poor attempt at nerfing brick tanking.
They wanted the shield tanker to drop that armor plate and put a shield regulator on or drop a damage mod and put a recharger on.

It's the guys they talk to that play the game. Join some of the CPM Skype chats that are out there, some of the people are playing a different game than I am. Completely ignoring the real in game mechanics due to stubborn viewpoints.
I think a majority of the people they talk to on IRC have negative KDRs. It's freakin awesome having a negative KDR person scolding you for the way you fit your suit.

Flat out, the suit is already bad for PC and this makes it worse.
I have all Core skills maxed out (even the 1%) as well as pretty heavy into fitting skills and its still near impossible to fit anything decent.
With all of this, I can barely fit advanced equipment and advanced nades onto the proto suit and still have the need to run a CPU upgrade to fit it. The Combat Rifle will help a little but not enough to balance the suit. The sidearm addition means very little compared to the benefits of the logi suit.
Luckily I only got to the ADV level by the time 1.4 hit.

If they wanted shield tankers to use regulators, they need to make them more viable. Boost the efficacy on shield Regs and energizers. I guarantee you assaults would use them if they could get their shields to regen like a scouts. Scouts could then use them to gain UNGODLY regen, and then actually use the suit as a hit and run. You would see less brick tanking, and more shield tanking from Caldari and Minmatars. But then what? "Shield Tanking is OP" Not really, just make sure you have a weapon suited to take on shield tanks. Use an ScR or Flux nades. That depleted recharge still takes awhile no matter what, and you have weapons that can tear through shields and then kill the clone underneath. As for armor tanks? You would see more damage mods in the high slots. However, once again, you can counter the ungodly armor tank through good use of explosives and appropriate weapons. Look at that, we actually have some strategies popping up that aren't "Stack as much eHP as possible and use the highest DPS weapon you can get".....
I had a post somewhere yesterday in one of the many shield bitching threads. Basically I was talking about a Calogi suit with 3 compex shield extenders, 2 complex shield energizers, and 2 complex regulators. You can get some amazing shield regen, but it wouldn't matter if you could get the same regen while stacking 5 complex shield extenders (worth of HP) and even the old Calogi bonus.
It would take 500-700 Shields with the 2 complex shield energizers and 2 complex regulators to even consider NOT brick tanking in my opinion.
