Are the new equipment/weapons/dropsuits only accessible in there respective Faction. I.E. If I am a Caldari assault player and my ALLIANCE plays for Gal, will I still have access to the Caldari Rail Rifle in LP store, or will I have to defy my alliance, my corp and have no OB support to play alone on the Caldari side to get the weapons and equipment I need...? Your DEVblogs/Patch Notes don't hit this issue on the nail.
If this is the case, I see HUGE divisions within corporations/Alliances for their mercenaries fighting for who they need/want to get what they need.
OR
Will the whole equipment/blah blah blah, be available regardless of the faction you fight for? |

You can fight for any faction at any time, regardless of what your corp or alliance is doing.
However fighting against a faction will lower your standing towards to them meaning you get less LP paid out at the end of battle. So it makes sense to pick a side and stick to it.
The LP is faction specific, and yes items are divided up between the different stores.

Can you give us some idea of what things are going to cost? The LP gained between levels 1 and 10 is enormous, so are things going to be basically unobtainable until roughly level 6 or are you just going to be buying hundreds of everything at level 10?

Yes, 4 different LP values, one for each faction. You can see the LP and standings being displayed on this screenshot from the devblog:

Although it's entirely possible, if you're patient and dedicated, to get perfect standings with all four factions. +75 for a victory on one side with -15 to the opposing faction, thereby; the next battle will set standings for both sides to 60 and 60.

That's the theory anyway.

This split in the way NPC entities treat podpilots and mercs, who are both fundamentally free agents/independent contractors, is going to create corps with severe cases of multiple personality disorder, prolly already is.

What does that 'current level %' mean? I'm guessing it means this much % of the way to the next level? If so, I guess that's a smart way to show progress. |

Brings a whole new meaning to forgive and forget eh? Factions must have a high mortality/turn-over rate if they're letting **** off that easy xD

You lose LP for the faction you fight against. Since Gallente only figths Caldari, it can't lose LP against Minmatar or Amarr. So yeah, you can fight for 2 factions at the same time in different battlegrounds. I'm keeping with Gallente/Minmatar myself.

CCP Nullabor...thanks for covering the forums, BTW.
Question...I understand that standings will shift based on who you fought for in battle and such. Can you lose LP that you've already accrued from a given faction as well? |

No you cannot lose LP, that's in the bank like your ISK balance. It also cannot be transferred, only spent.

And that's where you get FW corps forming to expressly fight, that's where you get splinted corps in alliances to let the alliance dig into all the honey pots, that's where we get diversity, or that's where players leave their corps and join new ones.

You can use any races suit with any races mods regardless of charactor's race.
Char race has no effect besides setting what local channel, merc quarters, fourm icon, starter fits, and background for roleplay.
All in battle game effects are by the race of skills trained and gear used, not race chosen at char creation. This is more clear in EvE, CCP should put something saying it in char creation or the tutorial to clarify for people. It seems to be a very common misunderstanding.
I assume the name Spkr4theDead is a Ender Wiggins referance, good book series.

Something you should keep in mind is that they are preparing to open up the player market and inter-player trading so even if you can't use the stuff you get from the LP store, you will eventually be able to sell it to someone who can. Setting up the LP store like they are is a huge step in that direction.
As far as it sounds, it looks like you'll have access to every LP store to spend your LP. It's just that standings with the factions will modify how fast you can gather the different types of LP, and that you'll be far more effective at gathering one type than the other.
