I have nothing to base this on, but I'll bet it has the same sound as the AR in beta.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

The adv. burst will do ~100 Damage per burst, and I believe between 3-5 bursts per second is reasonable to expect, so 3-500 DPS if all rounds connect, if you use the assault variant at adv, 1 second of automatic fire will do ~400 DPS for a ~10m optimal range nerf, same effective range so slower damage ramp down from range than burst. Keep in mind these are damage for direct hits and we really don't know how quickly you'll be able to fire. |

I heard burst variant has something like 1200 RoF. Not sure if that is accurate.
I have 1.2m SP saved on my Minmatar alt, just for this weapon.

Same here, but with 2 million.
I got another million saved with another 1.5 million I'll be getting back from scout LAVs and turrets that I'm contemplating on whether to use on the combat rifle or ScR pistol reload. Next week is going to be interesting.

I think you're backwards, the damage profile on the rail rifle leaves a bit to be desired. If it was -20/+20 like a scrambler opposite maybe, sadly its only -10/+10. Why trade 5% shield damage for range that will be rarely utilized on most of the enclosed maps we have now, the combat rifle is my new rifle.
Dedicated redline sniper, tower forger, nade spammer, protostomper, and mass driver.
