Yup.
On a note more directed at the OP, Caldaris can get a more even split of health currently, due to dual tanking being over all, so its popular.
With 1.7, Caldari (Shield in general really) suits will either be the guys that sit WAY the **** over there to avoid getting hit so they don't have to deal with the long recharge delay.
How long has 300 HP lasted? That's how much we got before we get nailed with a penalty which I could see being like 10-20 percent added on per extender. CCP doesn't like small numbers.
Refunding a few AUR militia Blueprints pertaining to vehicles because their respective modules will not exist anymore

Why are you complaining about matches your playing in right NOW? The New shield Nerf hasn't even hit yet.
The Cal Assault only bests Gal Assault because of CPU/PG enhancers, not because they are inherently better. The Gal would be a fine tank if they would quit trying to force nothing but DMG mods in the highs. Armor plates cost nothing in comparison to shield extenders.
Please tell me sir, what are we going to put in our high slots instead of shield extenders and or damage mods?
I'm waiting.

Because you see more Caldari, shields must be way better? Have you thought about the people who are stuck with Caldari because they were FOTM idiots. Have you ever even seen a minmatar assault? We are shield tankers too. |

You haven't played agianst Latino Killer Corp squads then. I think they force all their members to use Gallente assault or logi (more commonly) and use scrambler rifles.
BTW I run a Gallente logi because you gotta love the ability to lug around all that wonderful equipment |

On dual tank effectively while maintaining a good Recharge and speed. Return Question: Why do I consistently see players in Caldair assault, designed for shield tanking, having more armour than shields?
I see it too and I assume it's because they are armor tanking because it is FotM and because they are then stacking damage mods
