A scout variant with no light weapon or grenade slot, but 3 sidearm slots and 2 equipment slots? You could give the class specialization skill a bonus to reload speed or perhaps sidearm fitting costs. It would be perfect for the sidearm-favoring scouts out there (I'm personally a huge fan of running a TT-3 with either a Syndicate/Toxin or an Exile as a back-up), and would give us another interesting scout class to play with.
You could run Nova Knives with a pistol as a back-up and a flayock as a last resort spam weapon! Triple SMG's! Scans and RE's on the same fit! Injector and repair tool on a super-fast scout for saving teammates who wandered too far from the group!
Anyway, fun idea to pass the downtime. Thoughts?

not a bad idea , but I allways envisiond the commando to be similar to the black eagle suit but we were sadly let down. I think your idea would be great for gallente scouts but only if the different racial commando suits all had different frames i.e. ammar commando =heavy gallenti commando = light caldari =medium minimitar = medium , thoughts?

I hoped for the same I never really understood why the commando is a heavy suit but there is still some hope that we will eventually get some sort of light commando suit... |

I hoped for the same I never really understood why the commando is a heavy suit but there is still some hope that we will eventually get some sort of light commando suit...
Interesting thought that each race's commando be a different frame, however.... why does it have to be a "commando"? Honestly I would associate the term more closely with Gallente or perhaps Minmatar than the other 2 other races. The commando as it is now should have a more imperial sounding name since it's Amarrian. Templar or something of the sort with bonuses for HP or damage resistance. Caldari would be along the lines of shock trooper with bonuses to weapon damage or range. As for Minmatar, it would likely have a more tribal name with a more equipment based approach, perhaps with extra grenade & equipment slots but with low HP and have a single weapon slot (perhaps that single slot be a heavy weapon slot on a medium suit to make it interesting?).

I'd be all for sacrificing something, anything, for an extra grenade slot heh. I know most Dusters hate grenades, spam and all that...but I love them and I don't care if that makes me a scrub. |
