Will they be viable? Will they provide WP's for the pilots of the vehicles with them installed? Mobile CRU spawn WP's has been a subject that has been left unanswered for well over a year. I really hope 1.7 finally addresses the issue and provides the pilot some return on their investment, and not just blueberries spawning in, flaying about on the turrets and not leaving the vehicle to help the team in battle... even when the pilot lands in the heat of it.

I really wish CCP would do the most basic things they promise.

15 months ago.
It does not take that long to plan mCRU WP. Here's a simple plan: +25 WP for each team spawn in an mCRU. Done. That took me 5 seconds. CCP have had... 7776000 times as much time.

right? I mean, I can't imagine anything more deadly than a skilled pilot flying an assault dropship and dropping out infantry from the sky without having to land to pick them up. I'd try this but the mobile CRU is not worth installing over a shield extender / booster in this current build, for lack of WP return, that is.

Your math is wrong. By your math CCP has actually had 7,862,400 times as long as you took.

I approximated. 15 x 30 = 450 450 x 24 = 10800 10800 x 60 = 648000 648000 x 60 = 38880000 38880000/5 = 7776000
And really. You're attempting to call me out on arithmetic (whilst not actually being correct to do so) in a way that makes no difference to the point whatsoever.

I'm thinking, if there's no turrets on a tank, there's no passenger slots OR... there's still the two passenger slots, they'll just be able to look about the place and do nothing, apart from steal your tank when you get out for whatever reason.

Before WP for mCRUs. Because honestly as much as I'd appreciate the WP most games I'm effectively DETRACTING from the teams full strength on the ground because for the most part blueberries refuse to get out, and their turret accuracy is nothing to boast about either, except on very rare cases.

One would assume that you simply couldn't spawn, much like if you have a full vehicle with a CRU atm.

this is a valid point. The reason why they haven't already, I bet, is because that would require a 'kick all passengers' button .. which would lead to mass teamkilling by dropping friendlies deep into the redline and such.

What's up Condors!
Well since 1.7 looks like bye-bye Prometheus et Eryx, and turrets = seats, the dropship will rule the mCRU. Four seats and no turrets will be a tanked out Condor + mCRU = Pigeon dropping little mercenary *****.
mCRUs however still will probably be a bad idea to use in most games due to "Public Infringement"

Although it will only have one high slot then....hmm i may have to rethink this! ill probably fly around some myrons with mcrus to see if they work well or if they help an organized squad more than my python (i doubt it) |
