This was taken form the dev blog regarding FW in 1.7
So from what I can see...
people can and WILL team-kill you. And you're not going to get any ISK back at the end of it.

You get LP for it though LP= cool gear to replace not cool gear.
How to make a Heavy Laser: 1.Take laser 2.Make it REALLY BIG 3.Give it to the heavy sobbing quietly in the corner.

Oh and how are you supposed to defend yourself?
If somebody is shooting you in the back and you turn around and see it's your own team what will you do?
Shoot back and risk losing loyalty points? Or get killed and lose ISK?

Thanks for putting so much thought into how this works and how quickly the griefing alts will be put out of matches. I think they did a pretty good job in allowing a level of griefing and backstabbing without letting it ruin FW.

Yea, but they will eventually get booted for their shenanigans, and this encourages Q syncing with your corp or alliance to ensure less blueberries.
You also want to max out your standings in at least your faction of choice, but probably their ally as well (Gallente Minmatar / Caldari Amarr) then just start saving your LP for forever. I'm curious to see what's in the LP store, but the only thing I would be interested in is a better Incubus, which just so happens to be Gallente, the only race of choice

serious question.
Serious answer. FW veterans will have enough standings to be able to shoot back without being kicked. Low standing alts will be kicked quickly.

Simple let them kill you they will get kicked soon enough and not be able to play until after next down time. To keep high levels of isk run cheap gear in pub matches.
TEST signature please help me think of a better one.

they do have some good if not great counter-measures in place but I won't be participating.
you already lose ISk to BS it would be painful for it to be someone on your team.
Plus nobody wants to lose expensive tanks to team mates.
Anyway I have literally 0 ISK so maybe that's why I'm concerned.
The idea of exclusive weapons is pretty cool but I tend to just queue up for all factions,
so no idea if I'll gain enough LP to unlock anything. |

good idea, there will most likely be some high level rewards further down the line.
what if they reset LP though so the people who've been saving since the beginning can;t
automatically unlock them?
I do like the idea of FW being different from pubs though, I just see them as an escape to not be put back
into the game you just quit (for now) |

In other words, bring out your BPOs and forget your KDR because Faction Warfare is going to be expensive chaos. I like it.
