That is so stupid. Say your're in a PC and the enemy has a high point(tower) overlooking a letter with a forge gun.
You drop the ob on the tower, forge gunner dies but guess what, he spawns right back up there on a freakin 400ehp drop uplink that wasn't destroyed wtf, CCP explain.......I have never understood that mechanic since I have been playing this game.

AOE, and uplink is bloomin, small can fit through the gaps
It can't avoid an EMP strike though.

Orbital Strikes destroy uplinks. Maybe not like a flux grenade but they do.

I thought they did.
But if they don't, the orbital should destroy all equipment (REs, proximity mines, uplinks, nanohives), infantry and vehicles (unless they are under cover).
It would be nice if they could destroy buildings, though. Replace the building or part of the building with a "destroyed/rubble" socket. Might be cool to fight in a debris field. Leave the hack points intact. Kill the infantry, etc. in/on the building when it gets destroyed.
Maybe even NULL cannons. Could make for interesting games if NULL cannons could be destroyed.

why do I drop an Orbi somewhere but buildings block the kills, then 2 minutes later get killed by an enemy orbi in the same place?

You're using the wrong orbital to get rid of equipment. Use the EMP orbital... Larger radius (almost twice the size) and wipes out all equipment as well as all shields.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't; just like sometimes people will survive them. The other day I dropped one on the dom Fracture Road objective with the enemy scurrying around it like ants but didn't kill a single one of them; or just yesterday when the enemy dropped one on us. I took some damage (militia heavy suit, down to 1/4 armor) when the first beam hit, the whole thing wiped out everybody else around me but I survived.
Never mind the president, let's overgrow the government.
