Foxfour is doing a dev blog. There's a good chance it might be about FW and PC.

They will be changing PC. One of the plans is to have the War Barge be an EVE ship that must be flown by an EVE pilot to the district you want to attack, and anchored there in orbit. It would have to be loaded with clones and stuff before it was sent, and there is always the risk of it getting blown up once it is there.
Once it is anchored it sounds like it would go into reinforce if attacked and give players a day or so to get it out. So to stop a sustained attack you either repel the attackers on the ground, or in orbit. It sounds like at least one match would happen if it got there, but continued matches depend on either killing all the attacking clones or attacking the War Barge and scaring it off or killing it if it stays after being reinforced.
Another idea getting thrown around was making the districts produce an EVE resource that EVE players couldn't get anywhere else. Then using the War Barge to transport that stuff back to manufacture in EVE. This idea would probably be an update of PC 2.5 or something, after 2.0 comes out.
I wonder what else we will see for DUST 514 2.0 one day. |
