Please allow graphics to be used as sigs. 500x150 pixel size is somewhat typical for other forums for .png files

No. The forums are there for discussion. You can advertise for your corp in the recruitment section and show off your 1337 Photoshop skillz on 4chan.
With all this nonsense ASCII art, sigs are a waste of space as it is.
You can take a benign object, -you can take a cheeseburger and deconstruct it to its source...

This could be a picture that you could look at yet now you're wasting your time reading this.

If you're so concerned with forum space, how come I never see you pining for the forums to convert to HTML5 or enabling Tapatalk compatibility?
Back on topic, I'd rather see custom avatar images first.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

Back on topic, I'd rather see custom avatar images first. Because i have too little experience in HTML5 to give reasonable suggestions on how to optimize screen real estate and because I tbh have no idea what effect tapatalk compatibility would have on the forum layout.
All i see is that sigs are usually unrelated to the subject at hand (yes, mine is no exception) and, in the case of images, may actively distract from content. Additionally, unless those images are allowed to be hyperlinks, I don't see them adding any relevant functionality that justify making a post 150px larger (as per OP's request).
I will happily support ideas to keep posts more streamlined and content focused.

It adds personality to the poster is the main reason I like them. 75% of content on this forum or any forum for that matter can be defined as trolling or some other form of fodder. As far as distracting, I don't see that. If anything it would separate post so that you are not reading someone's sig thinking it is supposed to be topic related. I'd suggest visiting Ubi soft forums. There you can post graphic sigs, pictures and videos. How can that be a bad thing ? It would only lead to more activity on this forum in my opinion. Worst case, you will have to scroll down a millisecond longer to see the next post....
