Why is it that this, and only this subject is brought up almost always with a striking appeal to emotion as if respecs are the candy that CCP doesn't want to give players because they are such meanies?

Respecs, or rather lack thereof, are a central aspect of the game's core design. The skilltree and SP system are specifically designed with no constant respecs in mind. They will be issued only when necessary for technical (skill changes) or balance (racial symmetry) considerations and not given out just because you feel like it.

Stop the begging already.

I think a respec is due to us in the future. But after racial symmetry, not before.

Every time I read a seemingly intelligent post on why respecs are bad I almost fall for it. Then I realize you didn't make an effort to agree and simply were smug and dismissing of the point in an abrasive manner. Leading me to believe 2 things:

1. people anti respec are flame breathing douche bags.

2. The overreaction indicates fear of what would come of it.

Why does it make sense? If CCP has changed the skills and abilities of the game drastically in order to cater to others why won't they do it for the same simple effect?

Here me people against respec I understand you sink millions of sp into crap and don't care if someone does the same. It's ok! Because we are in a vicious cycle of nerfing everything that is used by the masses.

Next it will be the scr, then the combat and rail rifle. Have you seen those stats!? Don't come at me acting like I'm a 3 year old crying for a lolipop. Because in your own words you proved that your more immature and unable to deal with the sour emotions this game has brought you.

See friends obviously the right answer. It's short, simple, and everyone knows it. That's why people against it rage. You ain't stopping the respec it will happen.

I assume you've missed the part where i specifically mentioned racial symmetry as one of two reasons where I argued in favor of a respec.I cannot possibly see what aggravated you so much since there doesn't seem to be any disagreement on the subject at hand.

You can dislike my smugness all you want. You're entitled to it and i honestly don't care. I'm not asking for anything so i'm not the one who has to make an effort to argue for his position.

Nerf QQ in first paragraph. Haven't seen this one in like 12 hours. Good that we all agree that bad balance can only be fixed by respecs as opposed to, you know, doing a better job at balancing as CCP is actually showing signs of currently.

The second paragraph shows that you've misunderstood the nature and target of my criticism. The point is not you being a child. It's purely your characterization of respecs as something that can be handed out like candy, by virtue of simply asking for it and your omission of all the concerns that are brought up frequently when talking about respecs.

Others and myself have explained these concerns in great detail on so many occasions, going back to at least 6months ago, that you'll excuse me if i don't want to repeat myself yet again because you chose to make the upteenth thread about it, without preparing even a superficial summary of common arguments from both sides and why you chose to side with the pro-argument, that would allow us to avoid working through all the inane talking points yet again.
