Firstly, 50 clone ambush maps dont even have one secondly, 80 clone ambush maps have one in the centre of all combat thirdly, most dropship pilots are only just capable of taking off .. how can you expect them to fly next to the current supply depot safly and then take off again without either rolling their DS or taking 10 years to achieve it.
I propose vehicle and infantry supply depots. with the increase of users needing to access depots more than 1 per side should be in place. ground vehicle depots should be a garage you drive inside and then drive out when ready. Aerial depots should be a launch pad with a special supply depot type surface and thats pretty much it.
These changes 'need' to be made a long side 1.7, or a lot of vehicle users will be put off
AR is underpowered, forge guns need buff, imperial ScR is weak, scout suits are slow, heavies are scary, and up is down.

thats a fair point, but maybe vehicles should be blocked altogether from 50 clones ambush. delicate subject

Ambush tanks are the scum of the Earth.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

Two tanks means that the Ambush match is practically lost.
And since the maps are so small, you can't call in tanks of your own because the other tanks will just destroy it before it lands/kill you before it lands.

thats not a bad idea. would require messing with vehicle quotas though and LAVs would mess that up

I'm thinking that vehicles will pop the moment they go into cool-down because they won't have anywhere to retreat to.
The new vehicle mechanism is one of hit hard and retreat, but there may be no place to retreat to on a tight ambush map, making them short lived. |

Cool idea but supply depots shouldnt be indestructable. That way it would make for some very interesting gameplay and strategizing. Do you get a bunch of logies to keep the depot alive or do you leave it behind to hold the objective? |
