Considering most games are either full team/squad proto on one, and a full team of randoms on the other, it's still terribad out there. Actually, we lost the match. But yet how many blueberries have you seen that actually fought back during a pubstomp let alone contribute to the team.
thats why this is so UNREAL!

I just hope for good close games... and to grind out a little isk. Last night just seemed to be a good night for games... I hope tonight is just as good!!

I loved this word in quotations above. A derogatory remark for people who have speant countless hours, years+ grinding along keeping this game alive, who would probably wreck newberries faces in standard gear OR prototype regardless... yet they are frowned upon for playing the game the way it was designed and using gear that is available to them.
In one sentence you shun them.. in the next you praise them because they were on your team and carried you to a win. Before Hellstorm even joined the match, were you in a squad? Were there any squads even formed on your side?
Stop complaining about protostompers, start complaining about matchmaking or the laziness that is inherent to new players refusing to implement teamwork.. or gasp, join a ******* established corp and squad the **** up. See this is what I meant... lol

I think you might have misunderstood the main idea of my post. If I wasn't clear enough, I am sorry. Let me clear this up.
I wasn't complaining about "Protostompers" ,but I was highlighting how my team, including blueberries, had put up a good fight and how the match turned out to be one of the best matches I have ever played.
The other team manged to hack the objective but we successfully counter hacked it, we pushed and then they pushed, both teams were slaughtering each other. It was a truly fun intense match. One where i dont mind lossing.

My favorite come from behind win was a Dom on the research facility map.
I was playing with Red98, an aussie i had just met through squad finder the day before.
It wasn't going well. Our side was getting stomped to hell. The bad kind, the kind that makes players start to quit.
My squad of 6 became a squad of five, then four, then three, and finally just me and Red left. Over the comms, ''Everybody left"' an aussie drawl replies ''Well i'm staying right here mate'' More Bluedots pop in and somehow we take A. Me and Red are picking off reddot stragglers trying to break into the supply room and hunt them down like dogs around the compound. The rest of thier team figure they have such a commanding lead on the MCC that they can just clone us.
They have the ledge overlooking the entry into A. We hold what we have. Soon it becomes evident that the clone battle is going in our favor, and we start catching up on the MCC battle s well. Bullets are flying, logis repping, clones dying.
They slowly realise that they are going to lose the MCC fight and start throwing themselves into the meat grinder in vain attempts to retake A. It was surreal to watch them spawn in then repeatedly leap down to thier deaths, neraly piling on top of another, I guess they thought they could abosrb the losses. but we just would give no quarter..Then our orbitals started to rain upon them...
We beat them by one tick.
There's nothing like having everybody give up on you, everybody else quit besides those with the most heart, and pull out a clutch win. That's my favorite moment of DUST 514

moral of the story. do everything urself and never count on a blueberry Bro, all you do is camp. Even in PC battles. Don't even try to complain about pushing an objective or doing it all on your own. If someone didn't go to hack the objective, you would have lost. Have you ever even tried to hack an objective? Do you even know what the terminal looks like? yes, camping with my consistently 40+ kill games (including a 90+ kill game) I MUST GOT SOME REDBERRY MAGNET TO ATTRACT THEM TO MY CAMP SPOT?!?!??! lol first off? who are you? you non factor scrub. did i shoot you with my tac or ar and you just start crying? :P LOL NVM!! i see now. i was checking through the pics of ae vs oh and yet you wernt playing in most of these battles (must be a backup incase ur a and b level people cant play) but i did find you in a pic..... 2/17. good job man. way to pull your weight ;) hahahah what a joke. now if u look at my pics. im getting 20+ kills consistently in ur oh battles ;) better thank ur team for coming to my camping spots hahaha when pussys see someone better than them, just instant hate ;) KEEP THE FLOOD OF TEARS COMING. Lol get all the kills you want, but you still lost that PC battle! Camping on a railing won't win you a battle. I may have went 2/17 but that extra weight I'm pulling is useful weight for hacking objectives and doing useful tactical things that win matches. Sooner or later you'll be replaced with someone else that understands that a good KDR is nothing when your win loss is atrocious! Please tell me, do you decide if battles are won or lost, your KDR says one thing but your win loss tells another story lol
usuckatdust is a great slayer, he may not be the best team player, as long as cloning is still an objective, corps will make room for him.

I was running solo in a domination match yesterday that I thought for sure was going to go south for my team, and badly. My team was almost all starter corps, although some of them had formed themselves into a squad of four, and we were against a full squad of protos (names withheld because I've forgotten) with what looked like a couple of duos plus their own blueberries.
The match started as I expected with the reds gaining control of the objective and scattering the few scouts from my team that had tried in vain to beat them to it. As expected, the protos went to work. If I recall, the entire first wave was wiped out in the first rush, me included. We took out one enemy clone. The protos had the complex locked down with enough hives and Proto 'nades to make any normal nerd blush. It was going to be hell to try and take that point.
I had initially spawned in with a couple of uplinks and hives, dropping them on the way to the complex. Spawning in on one my uplinks, I was expecting a slaughter. I was expecting the blueberries to scatter. I was expecting to see that cute little ring of nine snipers in the redline. Whatever I was expecting, it wasn't a cascade of notifications that made it clear my entire team of blueberries were spawning in on my uplinks and **rushing the gates.**
They died. Fast. They depleted two advanced uplinks in the first couple minutes of the game. I dropped more, as well as some extra hives, and ran towards one of the other entrances to try and get an uplink inside, because I always want that tactic to work. At this point we had 50ish clones to their 120. Alas, I was bad at infiltrating and died to a shotgun in the back.
As I was spawning back in, I noticed the darndest thing. The clone count was 20-44. We were still losing, but I was We still hadn't managed to break through their defenses and enter the complex, let alone gain control of the objective. Then suddenly the count was 8-14. We were around half armor on our MCC. Their grenades arced over the walls, like little kernels of death.
Then I was dead, my clone terminated, but the count was only 3-7 and I couldn't risk spawning in. We had too many blueberries. Bold as they had been this entire match, I knew they were going to spawn us out of clones in their zeal to get back into the fight. 2-5 and I'm staring at my screen, wondering if this was actually going to happen. Then its 2-3, and just as fast the count reads 1-0 and my eyebrows were trying to get a better vantage point. They had done it. Those brash blueberries had done it. They had snatched victory from the jaws of a proto-stomp.
It doesn't happen often, but it is really fun to see it when it does.

Seems like it, my bad... been unfortunate enough to spare some attention on a lot of protostomp complaint threads this afternoon.
Glad you had a good match, we all live for them and when they arrive, win or lose, you go away with a set of sore thumbs and a "wow" that was fun face. good times.

You sure are the determining factor for winning battles! Stick to ambushes dude man bro... http://i.imgur.com/hYxHuME.png[edit 2] Another giggle for you: All you had to do was hack the objective... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZUoeIHlf_g
Ya I guess ur team carried you to victory to one pc yesterday. But last 3 we won all 3. The one I lost I was in the city. And halfway through the game my squad made you ABANDON the city and try n hold the outside ones. Once ur team knew you couldn't take it from my squad I ran to your homepoint and murdered at least 3-4 of you guys before you needed an orbital to stop my sqd of 3 taking ur home point.
but here let me explain something you do not understand. Every team will need slayers to kill the people at an objective to clear it out. You do not understand that clearly with it 2-17. You cannot run into an objective by yourself and expect to hack it without killing the people defending it. I whooped ur team at b in the city which helped my team hack it.
and my w/l ratio is cause I SOLO dom all the time. yes I can be a ***** and just run with a full proto sqd and never lose but that isn't fun.
Now since you have 0 gun game and only can cannon fodder urself at an objective over and over a 1v1 wouldn't be fair since ur as good as any other useless blueberrys but I will offer to challenge you at a 4v6 . I know ur just a free kill so basically just a 4v5 but hey who knows ;)
but I didn't know oh lowered their standards so much to let ppl like u in ;) especially a pc lollllll. |

These victories can be manufactured. All it takes is a little thought. Blueberries can be useful if you baby sit them. We have uplinks, put them in strategic locations. If you cover them till the blueberries start spawning in it goes better. Drop em some ammo. At the very least it is a diversion while your squad flanks the spawn rapers. You have to minimize their casualties. Also keep a logo in the area. You'll have plenty of blues to pick up and rep. Watch where you put these clowns tho. If you place them in too safe of a spot they will never come down. If you have to respawn wait for some green beans. The blues are natural zergers. Use the momentum. |
