I am not talking about needing it to go 70 and 0. I am talking about needing it to be competitive against players in STARTER gear. Just OMG

Well, I am impressed that they managed to stay with this game long enough to have proto gear, but I am disappointed that their skill points is more than their actual skill.
Madness is the emergency exit. You can just step outside, and close the door on all those dreadful things that happened.

I've started using Advanced rather than Proto :D Mostly because I need more moneys :/ I put it all on an alt so I wouldn't use it :D

Yeah, I've been using my valor/std shotgun combo for awhile now and it was pretty good before the ehp buff. I had to start running a dmg mod on it.

*ahem* Latinos dying 7 times per game while using proto *ahem* (I was using a bpo scout and died less then they did while still having aproximately the same amount of kills.

I've been using starter gear since I started this game and I can tell you, it's not "some", but "most". So yes, proto users need proto gear to be competitive against my starter fit. Most of them are also incapable of 1v1ing and go in two man proto groups. |

I have STD, AVD, and PRO suits, and weapons I have speced into. I use different tiers for the type of battle i'm fighting, or who I am fighting against.
Standard AR, SR, Mass, and Shott.
Advanced AR, SR, MASS, and shotty
Proto AR, SR, MASS, and shotty.
I also have a proto forge, but I do not have a proto heavy because I do not want the amarr heavy.

I like scout suits, they all suck so it doesn't matter which I choose so I can run ADV all day and save a ton of isk.

I've never used an ADV or PRO suit before. Never saw a point other than being stupidly unbalanced.
The starter gear is effective enough to kill most proto users anyway... however I typically use mid-range sniping, and only use guns higher than a normal Sniper Rifle if I'm feeling derpy or snarky.
I used the Starter Frontline fit and... holy hell.. that is way too easy to kill with. I'd have to imagine what would happen if I had a sensor, Duvolle and Proto armor... yeesh.
Anyway I have 11 M SP for those wondering.

Hah, I know. I got the gun game of a scrub. More so since I've turned my sensitivity higher. Give me some time to work out my gun game!
I'm used to driving tanks, which are a whole nother ball game. Still on the fence about my points, I want to go into infantry, but my gun game needs some work.
Lost a good chunk of Aur proto gear against some Adv AR tonight.

Exactly. This is why the whole tiericide argument doesn't hold water.
Whatever problem the tiericide peeps are trying to solve, namely the quality of the NPE and pubstomping won't be solved by tiericide. The issue was matchmaking, the issue is matchmaking and the issue will continue to be matchmaking. CCP has said it's a priority for them, but judging from their actions it certainly doesn't appear that way.
Here's to hoping that 1.7 has some improvements in store for the most important issue in the game.

It's fun to run proto, it makes dying actually matter to me...and even then it still doesn't with 600 mil ISK.
Trust me, I stomp the same way in my ADV suit and even in my STD suit if the team isn't garbage, but as always my team usually sucks so my squad has to pick up the slack because, blueberries are endlessly stupid |

I do not use Proto often. I am having more fun with my Dren assault or my Dren Logi. I do use my Gal assault but I am experimenting right now and I do not feel like losing much ISK and also by using a lower tier suit my skills have improved

Don't care if people say I am pub stomping, or a scrub....I'm probably both.
I just like killing things with expensive gear.

My post does not support your stance. I am differing to terrible players having to use high tier gear to be competitive. Proto stompers are good players that use high tier gear to have amazing games.
Tiericide would stop proto stomping and help reduce the impact of squad stomping.
