So I have been putting a lot of thought in to this and spelling is my week point. I have have an idea for team balancing, use the meta level on all suits, equipment, weapons, and mod. Make game modes for every level of game play. In some racing games they rate a vehicle by a score on how many performance parts and upgrades you do to it. So why cans there be game modes with meta caps or squad caps. I think this would give new players a fighting chance make the game more balanced and fun for everyone. Tell me what you think |

Don't just fixate on player gear.
Matchmaking should be balanced by SP. SP determines what gear is available, experience levels of players, likelihood of being in a corp/squad etc.
Who cares what some sniper has to say

They won't know how to drop a hive, but get stuck against EON 24/7. Simple solution would be to base it on average meta level. Add up the meta level of all equipped gear (MLT= -1 and CPU/PG enhancers = 0) divide by the number of filled slots. That will be a fitting's given security status. High sec = low average meta, low sec = high average meta and nullsec = anything goes.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"
