The thing was abandoned near the MCC (the guy probably squished himself.) So I took it, and after about a minute of tucking around a guy started to shoot me constantly. I guess it was hit tank, but I couldn't just hand it over to him as I was surrounded by blue berries wanting to hop in. So instead of handing it over to him, I lawled it into an enemy armor tank, and popped it.
I lived through the encounter, and managed to get to a supply depot to bring out my forge to pop the tank that popped his.
No fan mail was received. :(

Why did you stay in and wait at the MCC until he got back, join team comms so you could communicate with him or at least repay him the isk for loosing it?
For Caldari and Amarr faction warfare join State Patriots and help us on the front.

Never abandon something worth at the very least 200 k XD Even if your about to die, go down with your vehicle. No point letting someone else possibly take it randomly. Personally it was the persons fault who left the tank.

I actually stole a viper recently, but I brought it back cause i have a conscious for some reason...working on getting rid of that, but yeah...brought it back, landed it and proceeded to walk to charlie instead.

This has happened to me with LAVs a LOT. There were times where, I'm ashamed to say, I thought if you can't beat them join them  . Now I've curbed my sudden kleptomania and I'm helping fellow sufferers rid themselves of it too.

People steal vehicles all the time. At first I was offended, but then I realized that it is just part of the game until CCP adds vehicle locking.
Then I thought, if I don't steal other people's vehicles, and yet my own are being stolen, then I come up short, so I should steal too.
I would like to know how to find out who took your vehicle, though.

CCP, please, help the noobs. Make Afterburners cause invalid fitting on ground vehicles. I have borrowed enough HAVs (why they get out to shoot infantry firing ARs at them every time I will never understand) to know that blue dots see "150%" and just stick them on anything that moves.

i dont steal vehicles. i "borrow" them after ive seen theyve been sitting around for awhile.
or ill "borrow" them from the enemy team after "accidentally" running over the owner. |

I stole a gunnlogi too
I was chasing it around with a lolfit scout with a plasma cannon, putting a big dent in his shield and even bringing him down to armor a few times, jumping around away from his railgun shots.
Eventually the guy got pissed off enough to hop out of the driver seat and kill me
...except he was in a scout suit himself, and he exited the vehicle in front of my freshly loaded plasma cannon.
Three complex damage amps, armor hardener and repper, advanced railgun. No, really. This happened! Someone driving a pimped out tank thought it was a good idea to hop out. Hell, maybe he stole it from someone on his team now that I think of it 
Unfortunately I only managed to kill one blaster tank with my gunnlogi before another tank got me

The funny part is that you weren't chasing him at his red line.. A triple damage amp gunnlogi is only useful to railgun things from really far away. I'm glad you got his tank blown up. +1

Sometimes I leave particle cannon tanks around just to see what people do with them, even redberries. Most people blow them up though....
This could be one of the reasons I am broke. So I have started to cut back.
