The past year has been 1 awful rollercoaster of constant changes, broken promises, missing content and general frustration at CCP's inability to get the basics right
1.8 is going to be the 1st patch of 2014 so It should be a clean slate .. get all the variants of the current suits and weapons out and give everyone a fresh start .. sure I know the anti respec crowd will QQ about the respec but what this game needs above anything else is a clean slate ...
If 1.7 is a reworking of vehicles then 1.8 needs to be the reworking of infantry ... you can't keep us waiting any longer, I for one wont be waiting past 1.8 .. The past month has been the worst experience I've ever had playing a computer game, it has been awful and I'm not going to put up with it any longer ..
I'm tired of having to wait around and not invest SP because they 'might' introduce the Minmatar heavy suit in the future .. i've played 11 months in militia gear .. do you have any idea how awful that experience has been ?? Not giving respecs means I have to wait around for you to get off your arses and actualyl put the basic variants into the game or end up wasting hard earned SP in stuff I don't want
I see alot of comments about save your sp etc etc etc ... do you have any idea how boring this game is when you spend all the time in militia gear getting slaughtered by people in proto equipment ?? 19m unallocated SP because i want to be a minmatar heavy but neither the Heavy weap or suit have been added to the game ...
I'm at the end of my tether if the remaining racial variants aren't added in 1.8 I'm done with this game |

If you spent 11 months playing this game in militia gear in " hope's " of becoming a Minmatar Heavy then whatever problems that you have had and are having is of your own doing . 11 months of skill points is more than enough to get some skills up in various areas and still have bank load left to actually get what you are asking for . You could have skilled in all your race if you like and armor and shield up as well as weapons , so what's your beef ???? Are YOU mad at YOUR decision that ( I can commend because that had to be hard and it had to take a lot of self restraint but it wasn't wise ) no one made YOU do but I can understand your frustrations and why you feel like it's such a waste . YOU left YOURSELF under equipped knowing that what you are looking for wouldn't come out until way later ( if it does barring any setbacks ) in the year and now your mad at that fact . Please don't threaten CCP over this ... YOU made the decision to do what YOU are SOOOOOO upset over . That's not even classic ... that's just stupid and silly .
I'm not upset I'm simply saying that if it doesn't come in 1.8 then I'm not going to wait any longer
The reason I've saved all that SP is because I have no idea what the suit is going to be like, slots cpu pg etc etc .. no idea what mods/equipment etc will be out when the Min heavy is finally introduced ... this character was going to be a min heavy that used vehicles .. we have no minmatar vehicles either so I couldn't even skill into them for the time being
I have a 13m sp alt that is both Min logi and Min assault that wont use vehicles and is my medium suit soldier and I also have a 10m SP Minmatar scout Alt that is a CQC/Sniper
My issue is that after nearly a year playing the game so much of the racial variants are still missing
Sure it's my decision to play that way but it doesn't change the fact that not having the racial variants of all current weapons and suits 6 months after BETA closed isn't good enough

This^ Get level 5 in all core skills that upgrade your CPU, PG, shields, armor, stamina and speed, scan precision, profile dampening, scan radius etc...
As I explained if you look at the changes happening to vehicles in 1.7 why would you skill into core skills when you don't know what things will be like when your suit and weapons get introduced ? Think of all the vehicle users that skilled into infantry after maxing their vehicles only to find with 1.7 the SP sink has increased and now alot of peopel wont be able to have the current level of vehicles and mods that they used because they don't have enough sp invested into vehicles and now unallocated to get the new increased sp skills
it costs about 20-25m sp to max out a couple of turrrets core skills and a vehicle class in 1.7 onwards whereas you could do the same with 10-15 sp now .. imagine if you had 25m sp with 15m in vehicles and 10 m in infantry coz you maxed the vehicle you wanted out only to find that you get the 15m sp back from vehicles to reinvest but not the other 10m sp that means even though you have enough lifetime SP to get what you want because of unforeseen reworking of the entire tree you are now 10m sp short of having what you used to have ..
It is better to wait and not skill into anything until you get the suit and weapons your after to be added to the game |

Why would I skill into the Amarr heavy ?
My Min assault and Logi Alt will finally have a main weapon in 1.7 with the introduction of the combat rifle
As I keep saying the point i'm making is that I'm not waiting past 1.8 .. if the basic variants still aren't introduced after a year of the game being in existence then I'll go play something else, you only live once and you can;t waste time waiting for somethign that may or may not ever come
The way things are going it could be years from now before they get introduced .. it's taken 6 months to add the Minmatar AR variant xD |

The time is almost here and you knew all of this beforehand . How would a respec help you if you haven't even invested skill points into anything ( by your own words ) with this particular character . You just seem like most now adays asking for respec's for any and everything that you don't agree with . Let me say this again and it's well documented . The vehicle skill tree is changing , most of the items and mods will NOT exsist ANYMORE , the whole landscape of vehicles WILL CHANGE , not just turrets , not just the mods , not just a side arm or a light weapon , HP's or speed boosts it's everything . That's why those who have specked into vehicles will get a respec and from what I have seen IT WILL BE PARTICAL not full . And this is what the uproar is all about ???? Now everyone is asking for respec's for EVERYTHING ... well at least you stopped talking about the AR an how it's FOTM ... oh wait I still see post in regards of that still too . There is NOTHING in and of this game that is not complained about . NOT ONE !!!
The respec is because if all racial variants were added and there wasn;t one given I;d end up with barely anyone left to play with as a huge proportion of the player base would quit their and then if something like that happened
What's the point in playing a game if you have no one else to play with ?? |
