First off, not using everything at your disposal in a battle is dumb and counter to the concept of winning. If you are a soccer mom and like to give out trophies to the loosing team then this game is not for you.

Second, there was this event going on, you might have heard of it if you bothered to ready the intro screens when logging into the game here is a linky in case you didn't:

If you read that, then you realize that using proto weapons last week got you the opportunity to earn special gear. A lot of players were trying to get that and thus were running 23.5/7 proto gear as a result.

I'm honestly getting tired of the "Why can't players nerf themselves?" arguments in this game. If you can afford it and want to do it, then it is a viable option in the game. I spent the time getting the skills, I spent the time earning the ISK, and I'm the one risking all that every time I enter a match. I'm sorry that you don't like it, but that is how this game operates. Try adjusting your point of view to understand that and use it to your advantage like I have. It becomes a way more fun game at that point.

Sp and isk payout 1.5 times normal game Advanced teir game: weapons, modules and equipment restricted to Advanced teir at max. 1 times normal game rates Basic teir: Weapons, Modules, and equip restricted to Standard and lower gear. .7 times game rates. Of course the numbers would have to be tweaked but the risk vs reward system is always a decent way to go. Dedicated scout. Because the suit is underpowered. Imagine the good ones when we get buffed people ;)

He just stomps much harder with it. At the end of the day, he earned it and he can use it if he wants to. It's up to CCP to place limitations on gear in certain match types to change the environment if they want to. Threads like these won't stop protostompers from stomping. It's their gear, they enjoy using it. You can enjoy killing them with Remote Explosives or Forge Guns and laughing or something. Its just ridiculous and since the implementation of that carebear rubbish people camp even longer, I'd like it temoved, as people used to re group and re hack, now its spawn camp while being zerg rushed. Yeah matchmaking by gear wouldnt work, my std fits with basic mods statistically shts on any newb and matchmaking by sp segregates friends from each other, bottom line is that the only viable matchmaking is pitting squads against each other and solos against each other. But then watch the whining about solo proto fights, endless whining, forever. Level 1 forum warrior. Minmatar and Gallente fw. Fix PC lag please CCP.
