These weapons are incredibly difficult to use, their projectiles are so small , that if you aren't aiming for the enemies chest, there's a good chance that you will probably miss. This weapon is so under rated, and so difficult to use that it is almost never worth it to ever bring one out.
But in the off chance that you do, here's an instruction manual on how to operate it the best that you can.
Step 1: find level ground: the turret is sort of wonky in was that if you're on a weird angle, the projectile will fire off in some other random direction. The surface has to be flat. You CA. Air on an incline, but just be sure you aren't resting on a dirt lump.
Step 2: compressed is best: the compressed rail turrets are probably the only types that are actually capable of killing MOST suits. They have the highest amount of base damage, but overheat rather quickly.
Step 3: do not spam! : as stated before, the compressed rail turret easily over heats, so spamming your shots while using that turret types is obviously not a good idea. Another reason is because of the turrets stability. unlike other turrets, this one needs to reset / stabilize before firing the next shot. Holding down the trigger does not allow the turret to rest fast enough to allow for a second accurate shot
Step 4: aim for the statues: hitting moving targets is incredibly difficult to do because of how much you need to lead your shots. Its better to hit someone that isn't moving. I know those situations are hard to find, but keep your eyes open and you'll find someone to pop.
Step 5; stock up, armor up: have a large stock of what ever vehicle you are going to use with this weapon, there is high chance most of the lavs that you bring down will probably be stolen by your own team as you try to snipe with this weapon.
Always use a heavy suit when operating this gun . Doing So will allow you to survive more cqc encounters then with any other suit.
Step 6: taking to the skies: the best air crafts to use this weapon with are the militia drop ships. Their new stabilizers allow gunners to steady their aim, and take those pot shots against the Not below. Just be sure the pilot knows to watch everything everything.
My current record for kills is 10/0, with having only 3 lavs stolen.

I generally like trying out underdog weapons, but I just can't do this. Hat's off to you for giving it a go, though.
RDVs are a failed experiment - can't we just remove them from the game?

I fitted a Particle Accelerator to an LAV just to get it out of my inventory if it got destroyed
An enemy LAV pulled up and the driver got on his missile turret to destroy my LAV
I got on my gun, decided to aim for the driver instead. Then I thought - 'wait... these things are terrible' so aimed about 2 meters to the guys left.
I hit him dead on and killed him in one shot.
