ccp why cant you make this
active speed burst module should be equipment.. effect. momentarily both adds 15% to speed and equates your strafe speed to you run speed for the length of duration
12 sec runtime for complex (a skill for unlocking should add 5% to runtime) 6 sec cool down (there should be a 5% skill to reduct this)
1 thismodule would be useable on all suits yes..but highly more effective on a scout that is speed tanking |

Would be cool, but pointless. Speed tank does not keep Scouts alive.

Whoever said "speed-tanking doesn't save Scouts" is right. Being fast generally won't keep a Scout alive. Stacking armor actually helps alot more than speed.
Today's max is around 11.11 m/s. That's 4 kincats on a GalScout. A fit like this used to "bullet weave" (as IWS put it) ... no longer.
Negligible difference in "evasive" capability between 8 m/s and 11 m/s. The only advantage speed offers is that it helps to close-the-gap when coming up from behind. |

I don't know... I don't like any module / weapon the marginalises a suit.
If a active speed booster (or cloak) was introduced I'd prefer it to be available to all suits. But then those blasted snipers would be even more impossible to counter. Would you want a heavy to suddenly outpace you / redeploy (the fundamental balance of the suit) or even scarier, pop out of thin air in front of you?
(yes I know heavies have their own weapons but they're kinda specialised)

CCP, thank you for hotfixing the knives. But please make sure they're at their full potential in 1.7.

If the Dust Fitting Tool is correct, then the Scout gk.0 is the perfect suit for dealing with some redline snipers. At 11.11m/s you can clear just more than 2 football fields in the 20 seconds it takes for you to suicide in the redline. 222.2 meters is a lot of ground covered in 20 seconds. Of course, you have to account for terrain, but this does mean that a highly-specced Scout gk.0 user can be most effective against redline snipers.

You are all wasting your time.
Go and spend your hard earned money on a game that actually delivers. All of the good feedback and effort people have shown in this game has usually not even been looked into , or worse still - outright ignored.
Pour your ideas, money and effort into something else. After playing other games it made me realise how little is actually done in regards to updating and fixing this game. I think server numbers agree with this. |
