Adjust shields on a mechanical level so they take less damage over distance.
ok so from what i have noticed shields have no real mechanical difference to armor only there worse. so im thinking that shield should have a damage modifier on them ie if your being shot by an AR at 30M then you might for example take 10% less damage to shields then start increasing that modifier the further you are away, also i think scrabbler rifles need to be looked at on a mechanical level as well, they are an energy weapon and such they should do more damage to shields with no distance modifier but have a modifier for distance to an armored target, its unlikely i need to point out that scrambler rifles are currently good for chewing strait through both shields and armor this needs to change.
what do you think, this is just my opinion but i think if these alterations where to be implemented it would benefit the game dramatically.

1. Shields do have mechanical differences, namely that they recharge on their own, and with a delay.
2. Why reduced damage at range compared to armor? That's just... stupid.
3. Scrambler Rifles do quite a bit more damage to shields than to armor already.

1. when i said they have no real mechanical difference i said that intending people would understand that i meant besides that there is bugger all & there should be more.
2. shields are supposed to be more defensive at range & from explosives, i didnt mention the explosives before because that is working fine as is, but distance seems to play an insignificant or nonexistent part in gameplay.
3 scrambler rifles currently do more damage to shields then armor this is true, but you can still drop some ones armor almost as fast as you can there shields. |

It's only worse when you SUCK at fitting your suit. A shield tanking Caldari suit can still EASILY beat an armor tanking Gallente suit in every aspect.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

I think there is a fair amount of difference between those two numbers. 50% more damage against shields than armor is nothing to scoff at. Yes, 50%. 120% is 40% more than 80%, and 40% of 80% is 50% of 80%.
