As a KBM player, I hate and have fight against aimbot for mouthes, and suddenly I think the aim assist system maybe the key to fix the DUST's biggest problems. If: Aim assist and hit detection to standard suits for all controller and KBM players, Only aim assist to advanced suits for all too, No assist for any proto suits.
Then no need to change the assist system and everyone get happy. I believe this would work. |

update#1 And maybe: Damage bounds to all assault suits, range weapon upgrade for low slot. All the problems in DUST, as I think, not so hard to fix and wont take much time to fix. |

It's not an aimbot. It barely does ANYTHING. Hell, I played Crysis 3 the other day and with one small twitch of the stick I locked onto this guy with the bow and tracked him halfway across the map before releasing my arrow and getting a perfect headshot.
Dust aim assist is miniscule, but allows players of other shooters to better compete, since not all of us are "super leet" and can just use thumbsticks with no aim assist.
The aimbot I taking about is not just the aim assist, the aimbot=aim assist + hit detection. Aim assist is OK, aim assist help you aim well, the controller player do need it to against KBM player. But the hit detection is a total different thing, hit detection allow you to kill your target without a well aim, |

They are using the same weapon, so the TTK problems is not base on weapons, but on KBM/controller. |

Please read carefully, you are a magnet adsorption bullets, but not your enemy's Crosshair. What your said is aim assist, that is fine, and What I talking about is hit detection, which I think is good for newplayers and should only use by new players or standard suits. |

Aim-Assist was introduced because it is just not possible to aim as fast and as precise with a controller as you can with a mouse. So in reality the aim-assist is no advantage for the controller, it was introduced to put controllers and kb/m on an even fight.
Its just that kb/m sucks atm, not the aim assist which is OP.
Sorry to say this but I think aim assist is fine. It does what its supposed to do and it indeed helps with keeping your aim at the target, especially when the enemy is starting with the strafing dance.
We had this discussion over and over again, aim assist is natural in most console-fps games, and if you have a problem with it, simply turn it off.
Again, its not the aim assist which is broken, its the kb/m input which is broken. i tried playing with t and it really feels weird. Raw input is what you folks need,

I am not opposed to assist for aim, what I against is the assist to hit detection. The hit detection just like we all have a huge magnet in our dropsuits, which will activated when we face controllers. And now, I think the hit detection assist can be the key, let the new players stay. Of course, please remove all the assist when high SP player wear proto suits. It's a bug that's the product of lag, man. This game uses server-side hit detection with a subroutine to compensate for latency. If something goes wrong in that mix, you end up hitting people when you aren't aiming at them. It's the price we pay for being free of aimbots and lag-switching and all that other **** you can get away with on client-side hit detection.
IGǪGǪI tried to call all my leaving friends back and told them try to play with DS3 and thenGǪGǪ Guess what happend? They were been killed like **** at the beginning and....when they finanlly adapted the DS3, they all like God of War now......
I am pleased andGǪGǪ Oh, dont worry, I will continue use KBM because I think I can beat any controller players,even my friend is NS and AE. :)
