First of their role bonus is op I would gladly trade the assault shield regen for passive armor regen anyday and I run caldari They also have massive pg/CPU and equal slots again op It was meant for them to use extra equipment but we all know how that worked out
My solution bring their cpu/pg down and replace the armor regen bonus with -7% equipment costs

Or you could buff the assaults so they're more than just a basic frame with two bonuses and a white coat of paint.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

Well then ccp should do that, why nerf the logi when the fotm scrubs will just move to the next thing and leave logis gimped?
Let's just fking nerf everything shall we? Because that's where we are heading.
Or buff assaults, heavies and scouts OR define roles with role specific weapons, suits and equipment but that's against New Edens ethos isn't it so all the other suits should get buffed, that way everyone's happy and when the fake Logis move on, the logi won't be left gimped.

My solution:
Logi Bonus: CPU/PG reduction to anything in the equipment slots. Assault Bonus: CPU/PG reduction to anything in the high slots.
This will give bonuses to people who want to use the suits as intended, but also allow people to think outside the box and come up with their own loadouts.
Who cares what some sniper has to say

You do realize that gallente already has the reduction to equipment pg/cpu. Logis already do not have a sidearm putting them at a disadvantage. A better solution would be to give assault suits a better bonus. As was already stated the only real advantage to running assault is movement speed and a slight bonus.
Heavies, logis, and scouts all have defined roles that give them specific bonus to that role. The assault however does not. Instead of nerfing logis the best thing to do would be to give assaults a better bonus.
My idea is simple and also could solve another problem that has been occurring. As it stand logis get the most war points in the game because many of the actions that reward WP are equipment based. To balance out the assault suit CCP could add in more WP rewards based around frontline tactics. For example reward savior points to people who kill an enemy that almost killed a teammate. Or revenge kills. By doing so you are allowing Assaults, heavies and scouts better ways to gain WP other than hacking and killing.
By doing this the logi suit will no longer dominate every other suit in WP while rewarding the players who are meant to mainly get kills. Everyone is always so quick to jump on the nerf bandwagon but none rarely take time to be constructive. By expanding roles and rewards we can turn this game into something different and awesome instead of the same old ****.
Edit: 5 HP armor regen a second is OP? We should get rid of the proto armor rep then. It does 5hp a second and has a skill that increases the bonus.

Everyone has been neutered by CCP except for logis and assaults. If logis get the nerf hammer next, how long before everyone complains about assaults being the FotM? Let's make everything as good as logistics instead of making logistics as bad as everything else. Unless you want to keep that 5% shield recharge per level.

Assault bonuses suck and need to be changed. I get that.
The logi bonus is not even that good - 5 HP/s (at level 5, mind you) means jack if you're going down in 1.2-2.4s anyway.
