This stupid rumor is based on fear and a post that CCP didn't even mention about them wanting to do such. They're trying to make Slayer Logis less effective than what they are now. Hint, making Slayer Logis less effective would mean that they would have to keep Slayer Logis around! But besides that, they wouldn't take away the ability to defend yourself especially since you're the major support in the battlefield and will likely get targeted or end up in a situation where you'll need to use a rifle to aid the team. I think it might actually have been a clumsy way to try and defuse the situation by saying "look, we've read all this stuff and are working on balancing the logi suit." Unfortunately it completely blew up in his face with a class 4 trollsplosion. He probably should have either ALSO linked the original thread where CCP stated they were instead retooling the bonuses as a way to balance the logi suits compared to assaults, or just say it more clearly than he did. Hopefully he learns from his mistake: Do not underestimate the power of rumormongering and misinterpetation on the Dust 415 forums.
