When the Caldari logistics suit got nerfed I was angry. I hated that the most amazing shield recharge suit got nerfed because someone start complaining about how fast the recharge was on a Caldari suit, which is a bonus because Caldari specializes in shield technology. I hate when people start complaining about how someone customizes a suit or weapon to become a lethal threat on the battlefield, someone gets on the forums and starts whinning about how logistics suits are over powered or the Caldari needs there shields, CPU and PG nerfed. That nerf to the Caldari suit was a major blow to the Caldari lovers. I'm Gallente ,I love Gallente technology I know CCP is coming after my race next and it sucks. The most fun about this game is leveling up so you can build awesome dropsuits, weapons and vehicles. Customizing is fun and skilling into certain technologies is a right deserved to the user of that weapon, dropsuit or vehicle.
I've spent countless hours grinding for months skilling into things that would make me a awesome mercenary for CCP to come around every month to nerf something based on a player getting smashed by a certain weapon or with someone with a certain dropsuit build. Enough is enough, I love Dust 514 it's a very different shooter but the real problem isn't the suits or weapon stats. The real problem is the the auto aim, the hit detection ( No Skill required) red line sniping, frame rate issues in PC matches, sever issues such as lag and connection drops. I would love to see these things fixed for a better gameplay experience.
I'm not gonna lie I hate the Mass Drivers, I hate shotguns and I hate red line snipers and I've cried about it in the forums. I was wrong ( not about red line sniping lol !!) The general purpose is whatever you spend months skilling into whether it be dropsuits, weapons or vehicles, you've earned that right to inflict as much damage and carnage as you can on the battlefield. You earned it enjoy the fruits of your grind. The Amarr scrambler rifle and the Amarr dropsuits are a deadly combination, I hate getting into a fight with a full on prototype Amarr using the best Amarr technology, that mercenary is deadly beyond measure but that mercenary earned it and for me to get on the forums and rant about his/her build for his/her merc is not fair to him or her using Amarr technology. The greatest balance is to bring more race specific technologies for mercenaries to skill into to bring more versatility to the game.
I love the lore behind the races and about New Eden, I want more. I want to be immerse into this universe callled New Eden. From the Dust side because I love consoles, can't wait til Dust 514 is on the next gen PlayStation 4. Better hardware means bigger game with more of everything I wouldn't be surprised if you could physically fly in Eve players ships to deploy to different planets around the universe in New Eden in real time. open world ( mmo style) Can't wait to see Dust 514 next gen.

My point is that it seems like everytime you skill into something such as a dropsuit, weapon or vehicle, CCP changes something or nerfs it. You spend so much time investing SP into specific technology to get slapped in the face with a nerf or a stat reduction. It feels like all the time you put into skilling into something is a waste. That's my point. |

I would recommend they balance this core before introducing more stuff (I am anticipating the rail rifle and combat rifle with much excitement, but I fear it'll just make it harder for CCP). Or else strip back tiers to basic only, and then introduce variants.

This game is a learning process. No shooter like this has ever been attempted. Expect many more major changes before this game is finished!
As for the customization, I agree it is very important. Clever people should be able to think outside the box and come up with effective, unique loadout setups, but when nearly everyone starts using something in a way it wasn't intended, (as was the case with early LAV's, the current Cal Logi suit etc.) Then something probably needs to change.
Who cares what some sniper has to say

this. its a bunch of trial and error on their part and they slowly get it closer and closer to the sweet spot. there is always a FOTM but it will never stay FOTM forever.

the intended use of equipment is based on each players orwn playstyle, you cant just say nerf it because you dont like how they use it , lavs for example, just because people smash you with it dont mean its not intended to be used that way, same thing with the massdrivers. its just whinny baby loosers who cant adapt.
they way to balence the game is not to nerf stuff its to add stuff, the balence will come naturally when we have more choices of suits and guns. the 2 new light weapons will be a blessing to the balence of th game and the decline in the dominance of the AR. |

That's my point. Core skills never get nerfed:p I got a cal assault lvl 1 (its a cheaper fit) And std scr I do good cuz I always try to fill out my cores and thus nerfs and fotms are meaningless to me Abd I make tons of isk since my suits like 8k
