We are all aware that the logi is a war point farm. Between getting kills and using equipment, a logi can easily net a one man orbital.
War points are the measure of value in DUST, it is what we use to gauge a mediocre player from a great player. Being at the top of the leaderboard repeatedly not only boosts one's ego, but also gets their name known throughout the game.
Since the logi is a war point farm, and war points are the way to show off your self worth and ability in this game, it becomes clear why the logi is overused. The influx of constant war points be it from triage, nanohives, picking up friendlies, or just getting kills excites the pleasure center in the brain and makes that style of play FEEL more rewarding. An absolute chump at the game can play the logi role, net 2000 war points, and feel like a god.
I used to play Amarr Assault only. The vast majority of my war points would come from kills. While going 32/2 may look impressive, if you're 5th on the leaderboard with 1600 WP, you go unnoticed. I came to realize this and switched over to the Amarr Logi A few months ago. Since then I've consistently gotten between 1500 and 2500 WP or sometimes more for really good matches. When being on top of the leaderboard after a match, why would you go back?
The final point on logi overuse is the fact that the logi suit has a very assault like bonus - a built in complex repper when level five is reached. People like survivability in a game. The logi allows you to brick tank in armor without having to fit a repper because you have one built in. For any new player or anyone who wants to survive longer than a few moments, the logi with it's built in repair and ability to armor tank well is the clear winning suit decision.

So your sole complaint is that CCP isn't rewarding slayers enough, and to fix that they should remove the logi's ability to not need a logi, thus requiring him to dedicate a slot to a repper/triage hive.
Why not make the built in repair a part of the suit, not the skill: callogi-3hp/s Amarlogi-5hp/s Gallogi-6hp/s Minlogi-4hp/s
That and allow slayers "deterrant assists" Pretty much reward someone for forcing a person to stay behind cover for 5+seconds through dealing 20% armor Hp in damage. That and make assists worth the % of damage you dealt to the enemy: if you deal 99% damage, but a blueberry steals the kill, why shoul you get paid 1/3 of the cumulative points? Wouldn't 49 be a juicier reward?
Give logistics' rewards per 50 armor repaired- 10wp per 50armor.
Why are we begging for nerfs when the roles aren't properly rewarded to begin with?

Pretty sure that Gallente Logis will need the highest repair rate, why should they need to use one of their 5 low slots for a repper? Or one of their 4 equip slots for a repair-hive?
