Sorry but I don't like this shoehorning of roles into suits.
We have a system where we can customize and fit suits to fill Alot of situations and combat scenario's, thus making the suits do exactly what you want them to do, Logi's can be slayers, assaults can be scouts, their is no thing as one role per suit.
As such I believe suits should just have names...If the gk.0 suit was called myriad what real argument do you have against it being a slayer?
By all means use incentives to encourage certain play styles, but you really shouldn't use heavy handed tactics to force players into certain roles, otherwise your whole customization system is worthless. |

Meh.
Nobody is "forced" into a role. They accept it. You are never forced to ever remain in one role, one suit, one weapon. You are free to do as you please. I attempt to enforce this with my ninja heavy. With my medical scout. With my... questionable commando.
It is about will. The weak conform into one role, one weapon, one suit. The strong will grow and expand into being multi-functional, capable of being everything the battlefield needs.

What really baffles me is people reducing logistics to a specific set of things and any other type of logistics play is seen as not part of it. The logistics i provide are most of the time uplinks and remote explosives. The style i opt to play is designed to get the team closer to objectives and to secure them.
But some people only appear to accept to include reviving, repairing and not much else in their definition of logistics.

Remove the Grenade from the Logistics suit to bring it back into line with the basic and assault suit. The assault suit has 3 weapons and 1 Equipment The logistic suit has 2 weapons and 3 to 4 eqiupment.
By removing the grenade slot, the suits become inverse,such that The assault suit has 3 weapons and 1 equipment The logistic suit has 1 weapon and 3 equipment.
The assault (and basic) are geared to battlefield devestation while the Logistic suit is then geared towards versatility. (you can still use remote explosives)

This is the only game I've ever played where the healer / buffer / support is not only all in the same class, it's also a DPS machine

They should make logi's have a dps nerf 10% like dc universe cause in that game the healer just heals him self and everyone around him so if he can do the same damage out as the average player then he is OP.

By that logic, you should also be asking for the equipment slot to be removed from the Assault cos they shouldn't be able to heal just like a logi.
While we're at it stop them fitting kin cats aswell cos they shouldn't be able to run like a scout.
And while we're at it, Scouts could have the ability to summon monsters n cast spells :-/ |

okay, the problem with the logi, and everybody who denies this doesnt understand the game, is that with it's variety it kills the use of all the other suits available..
Logis can do nearly every role other suits were DESIGNED for just as good, when not even better than the actual suit.
They can be a better Assault than assault suit, this makes a whole class equivalent. If you go for minni logis I'm oretty sure you can design a fitting which is better than a scout in its designed role, class two which is equivalent, And besides that heavys can wear useless heavy guns, you even can tank ypur logi suit just as it would be a heavy.
This doesnt go for one suit within the logi class in specific, but to the logi class in general.
You see the problem now? Its not that we dont want the logi to be versatile, the problem is just that this suits are to good in that versatility. Thats pretty much the problem we have with the AR aswell, nobody screams for it beong a versatile weapon, just when something is so good in versatility that it makes other stuff obvious, than we need to make a change, otherwise this problem will be gamebreaking in the future.
I would also suggest giving logis a 20% dmg debuff. You picked up a support class, with a 20% debuff logis would still be able to kill, but just till a decent degree. You know... supporting and ****. If you wanna go kill stuff pick up an assault, thats how this game is designed, and -10% dmg is just to less with the momentary ttk.
another one bites the Dust...
