Anyone else notice how CCP has turned a blind eye to the forums recently? I see CPM post all the time, and I have seen dozens of threads addressing serious gameplay issues. Completely ignored.
Anyone else from a customer standpoint mildly concerned? This is what games do before they die. This is not a "the sky is falling!!" post.

Is it any wonder that they are ignoring the forums? Have you been reading this crap lately? |

That's why I mostly speed giving constructive feedback. I feel ignored every time I do.
I still give some from time to time, but seriously. Look at my likes. Will anyone care about what I say? Lolno.

Sometime I think its the dooms day and QQ cheerleaders have chased the devs away.
We used to get more information upfront but the reaction usually ended up very visceral, I think if you go back far enough you can see several of us just telling the devs to not tell us anything because the player base couldn't handle the information without going into a mindless rage.
While I would love information, the vocal group of the player base cannot, and thus ruins it for the rest of us.

Nothing new. Especially so near to a major game update. The Devs usually go silent about this far out. Probably hard at work, or at least what passes for "hard at work" for dust Devs.

Actually I notice this trend every time we are about one week away from either receiving patch notes or getting the update.
CCP, thank you for hotfixing the knives. But please make sure they're at their full potential in 1.7.

Noticed it. Maybe they are under instruction not to talk to us until 1.7 comes out. That, or they don't have answers to the questions. Seeing a blue tag would probably incite a riot at this point:-)
Like you said, not a good sign.
Great job, team. Head back to the MCC for debriefing and cocktails.

Just because they are not replying to every thread does not mean they are not reading.

Dual tanking is a sin
BPO's are bad for economy, Respec's are bad for the game. Want to fight about it?

Crunch time to get ready for 1.7. They also have a new boss and he's probably been cracking the whip with orders from his boss to turn this ship around and get it pointed in the right direction or he'll be turned into that rotten shark dish they serve to foreigners.
In other words, they're too busy to hang out and hold our hands.

If this is true that is a real disappointment. Lets take a look at another hugely popular mmorpg - WoW. I don't have any love for blizzard, but they did have the practice of having time allocated for debs to browse/read/post on the forums. CCP either needs to be able fill this role with an allocation of work hours or hire someone to do it.
Give us patch notes, this game is ever changing, it's nice to know what's in the works. It doesn't need to be a dev blog, just let us have some insight into what's going on and give a little feedback.
A serious question, how many hundreds of posts on the state of the HMG post uprising went on dozens of threads before one little blip of a dev response? I mean seriously, and even when a response was provided it was devoid of any real information. |
