This is a feedback/request post :)
Currently, the sniper scopes are exactly backwards matched to the way they should be.
Consider this:
The TAC rifles are "low damage, high RoF"
The non-TAC sniper rifles are basically the opposite: maximum single-shot damage, low RoF. Which implies they are the "higher powered" rifles.
Real world sniping, says you want big bore, high power, slower rate of fire rifles, for the LONG shots. Which means those guns should have the maximum zoom.
But, the scopes are the matched up the exact opposite way. The lower power, should-be-shorter-range rifles, have the HIGHER powered scope??
This makes no sense!
Please make the scopes match up more appropriately.
But I guess it would be appropriate to leave the militia, and base "sniper rifle" (meta level 1) have the lower powered scope still. |

I get what your saying but the enhanced zoom adds to the risk v reward factor.
Tactical has more zoom, and higher ROF, but low damage so it won't outclass the basic sniper in many situations, this works vice versa aswell. Regular sniper can take out bigger targets in less shots (and it has a bigger clip size).

I think your "risk vs reward" makes no sense... so I'll ignore that and reply to the rest ;)
regular sniper, less shots... yeah,but it takes twice as long.
the TAC has a higher damage-per-second average.
In 1 second, you can get 1 shot with regular, or 2 with tac.
You can usually get two shots off with the TAC before they have time to move.
That means TWO headshots are likely, if you can land the first one.
In comparison, the odds of two headshots with the regular, are considerably lower.
