Does the amarr assault bonus make a big difference?

I am asking specifically for the imperial scrambler rifle and the viziam laser rifle. Is the 25% additional time firing really worth it?. Is the suit any good too (tank wise)? Reasons why I am asking is because I am speccing out of vehicles (I don't want any thing to do with any of that crap anymore). This means that I have a bit more than 7million sp to inject into my infantry build. I have also started using the laser again recently and I must admit, it's fun . I love it... i can get off damn near 17-20 shots before overheating.. which is enough to kill most things. I usually run mine with 2adv plates and an adv repper, 3 complex damage mods, core nades and adv sub to finish off those pesky heavies and proto uplinks. Its op bro. its not really OP, its just that the hipfire is to accurate which moves the weapon from it's supposed role. oh yeah and scrub players who misuse it all the time. it's not the weapons fault that people exploit the **** ut of this game, and thats bascially what the tight-hipfire is, a glitch. another one bites the Dust...

It might be a difference in rate of fire, but I tend to go from 15 shots to 20 shots with the Amarr assault. Honestly? It's great if the LR or SCR is your main weapon, but it's not a massive advantage for the SCR - if you need more shots from an SCR to kill someone, you're probably doing it wrong anyway. I can't speak from experience for the LR but I've heard good things about that. I suppose the LR isn't a particularly good weapon though. General: You'll probably notice the reduced speed over other frames, and the reduced slot count is actually quite painful. At standard level you can't really fit an armour tank, at standard level either tank is only rudimentary, and at proto level your tank isn't stellar.
