I'm getting really fed up with these astronomical numbers of AR damage being put out by certain players of the community. My record high this week was receiving +2200 dmg from a duvolle. I think i'm going to take photos with dmg recieved and the name of the player dealing it. (dont have a video card) Share with us your secret, how to turn an Asssault Rifle into a forge gun.
I'm sure it simply must be the triple complex damage mods plus Aim Assist plus proficiency 5 with every shot landing in the head, i dont notice because of lag right.
right?

Considering all of the things you mentioned add to an AR's damage, yes, you are correct. I would guess the top damage AR mercs are using an armor tanking suit like Gallente, filling the high slots with complex damage mods, and maxing out the AR prof skill... |

Might not be factoring in resistances with your shields.
But yeah... It seems if you don't use an AR in PC you aren't competitive anymore. :(

I'm talking Public matches. It doesnt occur every time i play the big boys but there is always that one player that manages to do that sort of damage in a split second. I dont even recieve that kind of damage from an AR in PC.

... And they said the Forge gun was OP. Wonder how much maximum damage an AR would inflict in the 3 seconds charge-up time for the assault forge?
I know i have been melted countless times while charging the forge gun in a CQC fight against an AR user.
EDIT: I dont think the AR should be nerfed BTW. Its just that almost every other weapon are useless in comparison.

Having skills that directly raise any weapons damage is a bad idea in the first place

Doesn't all damage done over time total up on the kill screen? or is this just from a 0,5second encounter of a AR? How can it actually do more damage than you have health? |
