Thinking about voting & accessibility of voting for the CPM and various voting tools and polls and questionnaires, it kinda leads me inevitably to the conclusion that we have to be able to do all these thing from within the DUST client.
CCP could build in the functionality to accomplish these tasks, say launching from the updates screen. This seen time-consuming and limiting, but could work well enough to get the job done.
The other approach would be a built-in browser. This also is time-consuming, but is a far more leverageable technology and would pay dividends for as long as DUST exists. The bright flashing painfully obvious prize is access to the CREST API from within the game.
I support SP rollover.

The ps3 has usbs, so if you don't like the virtual key pad, we should be able to use a regular keyboard, right? If ccp can program that, then a link with the forums would be great. Otherwise I'd worry that people would get impatient, which could hinder usage of the forum because people won't want to type out everything; leaving people posting incomplete thoughts with poorly abbreviated or misspelled words. Then the forums would risk becoming useless for communicating.
But it would be nice to have some way to communicate other than mail ingame and getting more players on the forums would be great. So I would definitely say that investigating whether this can be done should be a priority once all the racial content is out and somewhat balanced. |
