Ok so I was in a Skirmish and I see this Adv Amarr Assault with AScR (no Proto) doing his thing. I'm in my Adv Min Assault tooled up with ASMG+Flay.
we spot each other at the same time and we both start firing at mid range. In about a second I'm down and I barely take half his shields - Fair enough I think, given he's armed with a mid-long range weapon and has more protection. I look at the kill feed... 1078 Damage!
Later the same match and same guy. He hasn't spotted me so I decide to use my suits advantages against his weaknesses - close the distance without him spotting me and get into my weapons more effective range. Sure enough I get within a few meters and fire into his back while he's busy. He turns and destroys me again.
He still had 2/3's his armour. Again look at the kill feed. 1243 Damage! I have no hope in hell of having enough armour on my suit. Later he destroyed a heavy like it was nothing.
Nice to see the races equipment counterbalanced -_- short of resorting to dirty tactics I simply couldn't face him
I know this is an extreme case but being built for speed right now just doesn't work. Am I the only one having problems?

I've had similar experiences where my ADV logi with 507 armor is 1-3HK's by a CRW-04 or Imperial SCR Rifle.
Until I have enough experience using them however, I refuse to comment on whether or not it is "overpowered".

Not saying its overpowered. That's not up to me to decide. I just thought the races were balanced with their counterparts.

I know. It's just that usually when I say something similar to my first post, people assume that I consider the weapon to be overpowered.

Not everything has a counter from a different race. We're only getting a Caldari and Minmatar assault rifle just now. |

Yes I've seen it. And I hope they make the ranges more defined than they are now. Only the LR has a clearly defined effective range and its too narrow. The proposed figures seem to be very similar, particularly for the AScR and CR
If they are too similar then again its down to health - so I loose again

Chances are he had 3 complex damage mods on his suit. Those plus a Scr equals massive damage.
Did you strafe back and forth at all or where you essentially a stationary target? |
