So the problem is that shields take a LOT MORE damage than armor on long distances. I fit my dopsuit so it have about equal shields and armor. Then enemy shoot at me at long distance each shot take from shield about 20-30 hp and after shield deplented each shot take about 5-8 hp from armor, and all this was done by the same enemy, same gun, same distance. I understand that most of the common weapons in the Dust is oriented to damege shields, but they do damage +10% or +20% but at long distance it seems more like +400%. |

As you get farther away the damage drops significantly with each step.
Say you're at 60 meters and they are doing 20 damage per shot. Now you're at 70 and they're hitting your armor and dealing 10
Not only has the damage decreased because of range, but also because if the change to armor. If it was the scrambler, they were dealing 120% to shields, now it is 80% to armor. That's a 40% decrease, plus maybe 15% because of your range.
So by walking back 10 meters and losing shields they are now dealing 50% less damage...crazy right?

I don't get farther away maybe only one or two steps but nothing like 10 meters. Still few steps may be enough but this is not the first time I see how enemy easily deplend may shield but barely can do some damage to armor while I'am not retreating.

Yes I know that armor will take less damege from this weapons but difference between damage to shield and armor still seems too hight. |
