It use to be in Chromosome, but has been removed. I think that adding it back is necessary considering that it is difficult to identify that there are active grenades. It is also a better coarse of action before you nerf grenades.
Madness is the emergency exit. You can just step outside, and close the door on all those dreadful things that happened.

I would be against this as it's to much handholding. Sound effects are very good at the moment and it adds statighy to a grenade throw depending on whether the target is in a quiet or loud area. Lol, I know, talking about grenades and strategy is a bit off with the present resupply mechanics. If an earlier idea of limiting grenade resupply to depot is brought in then strategy will become used by necessity.
Just something on the sound that a friend brought to light for me. He didn't realise that the pulse sound for each second of the grenade fuse was there due to the preset volume of the music and announcements blotted the sound out. This was just in the last week!! Since getting my mate to set up the same way I have my settings it has been alot better for him.
I've a basic set of stereo headphones and with music and announcements at level 10, chat at 80, and SFX at 60, I can hear a grenade bounce off the ground beside me with direction, or even the pulse sound from someone cooking it close by, even while shooting the HMG. Putting back in an indicator really is just removing some of the immersion that is possible, aside from being to much handholding. |

The indicator isn't attention grabbing. It's subtle, and can easily miss it if you aren't looking at where the grenade lands.
Reading the replies though, I'm now a bit torn. I'm still +1ing though. |

Is this in game settings? I'll have to go look at this. |

If one looks where they are walking, seeing grenades is not an issue. Keep your eyes peeled for the red pineapples on the ground and stay away. The grenade indicator in chromosome was broken. It allowed information to be seen that should be earned not just freely given, much like seeing all mercs on your minimap if they are seen by one member of the team.

It's not too much handholding. People cook their grenades to explode in your face anyways. Your suit should be able to detect a handnuke (m1 mini-nuke hand-weapon-of-mass-destruction). It should have strong enough sensors. Grenade spams are annoying and they sometimes kill me, someone who is very observant, because I have had people throw grenades at my face, not seen the icon, then had it land behind me and kill me because it looked like they were signaling to their dropship that they wanted a soda or something.
It's just ridiculous that as long as a grenade is behind someone, they are ******. I swear, 90% of the time the icons never even show up, especially when the nade is sitting still on the ground. It sucks for scouts especially.

Simple thing really. In real life, I can look down and up in less than a second to get my bearings, in here you have to have your sensitivity at an unreasonable level.

Yep, it give a good range of options for sound on I think it's the 1st options tab. The music and announcements is a big one to drop in my view as they really get in the way of battle sounds. Another option I like is screen transparency set to 100% on the 2nd or 3rd tab, as it helps reduce the HUD being too prominent. |

Obviously screen indicators would make life easier for me to attempt to waddle away, but my preference is for none, although I respect you desire for them. I'm happy to have the visuals purely from seeing a grenade being thrown in my view. Everyone to their own. |
