Alright so hello everyone. Im pretty new to this game,and forums. But when I watch videos of Dust on youtube I seen enhanced graphics. Im wondering if I can make my game look like that. If I can how? Thanks for taking your time and reading this nooby question. |

what you probably saw was a video from the Carbon engine, which was scrapped.
That's why there are so many bugs, CCP had to switch game engines.
Also you can change texture detail in the graphical settings in the options.
Wow look at me, being helpful.

It could be your TV or Monitor resolution, or maybe you don't have a HMDI cable connecting your PS3 to your screen. Also recorded video (depending on the capture device) can look higher quality than it is...

It cant be from a scrapped engine. The dates of the videos posted are around this time. And I can easily tell it looks nothing like mine. Whats easily noticed is the font. Especially in the dropsuit upgrades and letters of objectives. Anyways thanks for the like! |

i guess a lot of it depends on
your TV,
your settings
their TV
their settings
what resolution and settings the video is rendered in
their capture card.
It really shouldn't look too different, check what your options are on DUST, maybe your detail settings
aren't on high? Check the gamma as well.
The font can be changed via contrast/sharpness, high contrast would appear it to be more blocky and blurry whereas
sharpness should produce sharp edges around the font and make the letters appear thinner.

I feel like this could be it. I dont have an HD TV currently its an old box TV. So I'm going to stick to this answer. Here have a waffle (#) AT to Scheherazades post from right now it looks pretty thin. Looks like im just going to have to wait. I can barely read the text in the font but ah,oh well.

If you're not connected through HDMI and at 720p, then it'll look wildly inferior to what it actually is. Apart from some rendering issues common in games using the Unreal Engine, i think graphics right now are pretty good.
