There is no indicator!
Back in Chromosome there was an indicator. It showed a little circle around the grenade and an arrow if it was outside your field of view. Near the end of Chromosome I think that it was even highlighted when it was in the user's hand.
We need that back! No damage nerf or range nerf! Just some indicators!
Madness is the emergency exit. You can just step outside, and close the door on all those dreadful things that happened.

The damage calculator for grenades is ridiculous. How can it be explained that armor+ explosive damage somehow interact causing increased damage? |

The issue with Grenades is that they are both OHK and spammable. Nothing should be both of those things.

IMO grenades need a re-work. Remove cooking, add an indicator/grenade trail, and reduce grenade count to 1 at mlt /std /adv. And 2 at proto. Damage is fine as is as long as the previous changes are implemented, they are still grenades after all.
Full time Logi before it was cool.

Too much, and unnecessary for achieving balance. That was what kept grenades in Chromosome balanced, an indicator, it is that simple.

Not to mention most people cook their grenades pretty well, but I've seen some that just toss em on out. |

That is not the point of the indicator. The point of the indicator is to show you that there is a danger, specifically, that an enemy has an active grenade.

I don't. Support grenade spam. An indicator is useless if someone can just chuck 3 in a row. Also 'nades should only resupply from depots, but once again, only an opinion.

I support the indicator, but no one can say that core locus spam isn't a problem. And 3 grenades is just 1 too many, otherwise 'nades are fine.

Ok, have an idea. Make Locus Grenades into an all-purpose grenade that does slightly less damage but about equal to Shields and Armor. Then, make a Thermal Grenades, which could be specialty grenades that do the opposite of Flux Grenades. No damage to Shields, but massive damage to armor. Since the Locus can destroy both shields and armor, it should do less than the specialty grenades, but the specialty grenades are only useful for one or the other.

what they can so to make flux more effective is for shield based suit you have their armor go down first, so after you take their armor down throwing a flux can kill them. |

My biggest pet peeve about the grenades is that they don't go off all the time. There is a moment that if you're cooking one and get shot down, it doesn't go off. There is a live grenade on the field right? Even if my cold dead hand is clutching it it's still cooking, you can't put the pin back in. So what if I get my dumb arse gets surrounded and have to cook a grenade in desperation. When I get cut down and my corpse stepped on I would at least like a chance to get one from beyond the grave. the mechanics or there for it, it's just a flaw in the system. |

I actually kind of like this idea. More options.
There are some serious problems with grenades though. Sometimes Locus do incredible damage.
Grenade indicators for sure though. Our HUD should easily be able to pick up and mark incoming grenades. |

I think I remember somebody talking about a headshot glitch, where the grenades radius causes a headshot multiplier.
I really doubt that the 450 from a Core Locus can instapop my 300 shield and 300 Armor on my Standard CalSalt. I think its a glitch that causes the potency of the grenade.
