I've seen the videos and all but when is the fix we need it and I dc about the heavy suit it's fine the hmg needs fixing I'd love to know when 1.7, 1.8, 3.9? When CCP when

My HMG is melting faces on the daily. The old sharpshooter skill that add range to the weapon would be nice! |

It needs range increase.........heavies need a mid range anti infantry weapon.....this will help balance heavies out a bit......I'm tired of being FORCED to use light weapons...... |

While the HMG is clearly not working as intended, knowing how it actually works currently has made it a viable weapon for me again. |

Odd little tidbit, in the 'Neocom' app, under database-infantry-skills, there is a skill labeled 'HMG Sharpshooter' it's description states '+4% to HMG effective range per level' there is also a 'heavy weapon sharpshooter' which is general +3%, and heavy weapon Rapid Reload, which is 3% to reload of all heavy weapons.
Also included, are 'Hw fitting Op', 'Hw Capacity' and i believe another...

Here is an example of how off the HMG vs. AR is. If I had a 240 Gulf and you had an AR15 and I said come at me. I would rip you in half before you could take a few steps. No I am using a Gatling gun which has more range and damage output in RL but in a video game an AR can shred a heavily armored chain gun toting individual in seconds is F***** stupid. I am not saying we need RL stats but not even in bizarro world could this S*** stand.

With new weapons completely changing the range dynamic of DUST coming up... I'm sure they are taking a "wait and see" stance on what happens to the balance of the HMG.
Having a heavy suit with bonuses actually based around heavy weaponry might be nice... but laser weaponry bonuses for the future is nice? i guess? |

The Gatling gun in RL is more based off getting as many rounds down range as possible... purely because any of those rounds can be lethal in Real life. The AR in almost every case is more powerful and accurate in RL as well..
Transport those fact's to DUST.. where we have dropsuit's that self regenerate and can take fire from multiple weapon types... Even some who can take a sniper shot directly to the head and survive...

Heavies are confused all over this forum. They aren't supposed to be the "DPS" of DUST infantry... they are the "Tanks" and if they do both... its broken... and if they do both half decent it's broken... And that's where heavies are a giant confused clusterfuck |

No the Answer you guys want is more damage potential with more range on gun's... which makes sense given the range issues and the fact that everyone has range on you.
I think Heavies more need a damage resistance to range damage input over 50m+
Heavies need enough health so that an Assault thinks twice about even using his bullets to attempt to kill a heavy solo...
Not out tank all the classes and out DPS the DPS class.....
Assault's are the same all their suit bonuses are around tanking... Not DPS...
Logi's are the same... allt heir bonuses are around tanking and fitting more module's... and they havve a lot of module slots. It's not based around fitting equipment cheaply and efficacy of the equipment.
Scout's... Well CCP clearly has just forgotten what they where even for... its so sad the most fun intensive class in the game turned into what they are now...
