I know I know...it's not my video. It's from Extra Credits (something that the designers should all be subscribed BTW), but it brings up a big point.
Without you guys and your hard work we couldn't have the kind of evolving and explorative game that we do now. Having a game that is designed around a community of dedicated players is hard enough; keeping the ideas flowing back and forth is even harder.
Not all of us show our gratitude but let this video be a way of letting you know that you ARE important to the success of this game. All of your efforts, both big and small, make a difference.
So I want to say thank you. Don't ever stop being awesome :D

Everytime I made a tread like this I got trolololed.
No one likes nice Sinboto.
But on a serious note I have respect for the devs for not only working hard on this game, but dealing with their murderous playerbase.

Cause its very easy to troll something like this. I really don't agree with that kinda of long winded opinion statements.
which when one takes a step back and actually thinks about what they just heard, you will realize that much of what he says it's opinion and that he could have condensed much of that.
The quick talking, and long winded is his pitch. You agree on some of the things he said? I hope so, cause some of it is common sense.
But he's a little "THE WORLD SHOULD BE THIS...." rather then what is. Seen too many of his vids, before I starting seeing a theme. and started itching.
*we are allergic to so much sappy light*
Looking too far up into the clouds is a quick way to trip.
But I get what your intent was. +1

I think its spot on from a business approach as many games are moving to the "games as a service" model. |

Y'know, to be honest even though community management is often a largely faceless job (even amongst ccp) the CCP CM's are still a wonderful breath of fresh air compared to a company like... RIOT's. I have never seen a CCP community manager openly lie about stuff like I have from the company that runs League of Legends (point in case the kayle 'buff' - where they nerfed all of her numbers but called it a buff because she'd be 'easier to balance').
In fact, I've always been impressed by the way that CCP chooses to handle things ever since the BoB incident, with community elected representatives who work with CCP to help promote transparency between the devs and the community. |
