It's like shooting 12 pre-nerf flaylock missiles off in less than 2 seconds that OHK any suit short of a heavy. Maybe they will finally be up to par.
Now if they fix blaster hit detection (basically requires 2 damage mods to hit anything, reliably) - test it: 1 scattered neutron blaster will out dps a scattered ion cannon
And rails will def benefit from a full 600m rendering distance.

Missiles back in the day were the shiznit. If the negative reactions of the time were correct something was wrong with small missiles. Personally I never found Large Missile Turrets that bad. Or at least it didn't seem like they were dominating the battlefield.
I'm getting the impression some people were going through virtual shell-shock. Which might happen again after twelve salvos into the same area.
Regardless things should interesting.

I wanna see multiple tanks rotating salvos people! Never even let them get out of cover! soon as one's reloading open fire from the next!
I want to see that someday, just a ceaseless, cacophonous, crescendo of crushing clout, the redheaded stepchild of turrets no more!
If you hear the words "WORTH IT!" look about, something hilarious just happened.

cept based on what I am reading they're going to do full damage against vehicles where blasters and railguns not so much.

Aren't they getting rid of the different variations of the blaster turrets? |

Missiles turrets are awesome. I've been a little disappointed in their current iteration, because even though blowing up Madrugars and turret installations is mad fun, it's been hella disappointing to fire a salvo into a clumped up group of reds, and barely get one kill out of it. There should have been flying body parts everywhere! How do you bunny hop out of a shockwave?!
Looking mad forward to these 1.7 missiles. |

They behave almost identically to Rapid Missile Launchers in EVE. Massive burst DPS with long reloads which makes their sustained DPS much lower. They're really ideal for Shield tanks and will be absolutely terrifying if you're in an armor tank.

Since i've seen the 1.7 notes the first time, i fear that missiles will scatter all over the place. |

Wait, Railguns still won't be doing 100% of their damage against Vehicles? Then what the hell's the point?

Take a gander at each other's posts there while I elucidate on a few things... Back about a Year ago, small missile and small blasters were ACCURATE while on a moving vehicle (now they fire from a point outside the gun equivalent to putting a Rigid Rope from Gary's Mod, eliminating gravity pull and having inertia dictate 100% of where the rope's end will be hence they cannot be accurately fired unless nearly completely still)
On top of that accuracy, the explosives radius was ACTUAL. What do I mean? If you read that an explosive had a radius of 1m, it would be a radius of 1 meter making the target area about 2 meters wide. Now, however, if you read an explosive from a vehicle has a 1 meter radius, you know it has a ONE FOOT DIAMETER (that's one foot wide... see what CCP did?). This was a result of dropships using small missiles to become the Air superiority of choice Of course, they then messed with explosives radius and completely screwed over the blast radius on most devices.
Large missiles are also known to be wildly inaccurate. Why? Because they were built with the OLD EXPLOSIVES mechanism in place. Don't' expect to be blasting infantry down everywhere. You only have 10 shots... 16 with ammo boosters.
If you can read this, it means you are reading.
Unless you are skimming
