This has saved me a few times, but if you time your jumps right, for some reason, you can make yourself immune to Orbitals. I'm a Heavy, so it takes multiple blasts of the Orbital to kill me. I start to run, and then I mash the jump button as the Orbital falls. Around 25% of the time, the first blast hits me and the rest don't do any damage as a bunny hop through them to safety while they fall all around me. I know I'm in the blast, because I'm always the only one on my team in the area (that didn't get under something) alive after this happens.
Also, this has worked with Locus grenades for me in the past as well. It's happened at least a dozen times. The grenade lands at my feet, no time to get away, I jump as it explodes and land with no damage. Somehow, I don't think I'm jumping 7.2m into the air as a Heavy, either. 
I'm guessing this is a glitch?

Usually when I survive it's because I just stand perfectly still. Not that that always works
Also congrats on the big win  With a haul like that you can jump through plenty of orbitals

Thanks. I am enjoying my millions by calling in plenty of brick Somas and trolling the enemy team. Just earlier today, I had 3 Logistics behind my Soma with repair tools going, while cycling my hardeners and repair unit. I swear, a whole enemy squad was using Swarms and Forge Guns and it didn't matter. I killed a dozen of the AV guys over 5-6 minutes as they were locking on and charging up before they brought down my Soma because I was an idiot and my hardeners ran out at the same time. Fun times.

Now if only we could take the LAV, launch it off a ramp, get out, roll on the ground and have it crash into a Dropship, blowing the sucker up behind us. The pilot will start to descend to the ground the moment before it explodes and we can turn around and pop him in the head with a Pistol from 30m.

Well, the first blast pretty much always hits me, I think. I can't seem to do it in my Logistics fit, either, because it dies immediately. The timing of the jumps of a Sentinel with no plates and no stamina seems to work out nicely. I usually start mini hopping when my stamina is too low to run.
