It was also more meant for the old closed beta channel where peeps would post their name to get access to the channel. Anyhoo, IRC is a good place to chat with plenty of people, the devs also occasionally make an appearance now and again so if you have some burning questions its a good place to be, just dont go out of your way to harass them. There are two ways to connect, the better way is to download an IRC client, just googling IRC client will throw up the results, then connect to irc.coldfront.net and /join #dust514 The other, easier way is to http://www.coldfront.net/pjirc/chat.htm then simply /join #dust514 would really suggest getting a computer client as its simply easier to manage. If anything it is the opposite because she is leveling the playing field of people having more of a voice. If anything if you were successful in getting this thread locked, you would be the one causing players to miss out on that level of access.
