I'm wondering if there's anything preventing CCP from giving us raw input for M/KB?
As if stands the controls are far from perfect and the "thumbstick emulation" makes input lag really bad and aiming a nightmare, especially when compounded with the terrible framerates in PC.
Does the CPM know anything about this matter? Is raw input possible? If not, why? If so, why don't they implement it? Would it be too unfair? Is gimping mouse input their way of balancing it?
Just curious what the deal is.

I hope they being quiet about it means that it is going to be patched in Uprising 1.7.
Improving aiming and controls was a part of CCPs roadmap.

If they meant us to have a FUNCTIONING mouse input, they'd have done it with 1.4. |

I'm liking the new sensitivity settings in 1.7 but this doesn't address the core issues that KBM has. Additionally, the new RR and CR are built for aim-assist. I connect head shots no problem using a controller but I'm lucky to break my targets shield using a mouse. 
Scrap DS3 emulation! It sucks.

If I understand correctly anything controller related in battle falls on "Team Kong", which is apparently staffed by.... 4 people.... considering they also have to "balance" the weapons they implement I see keyboard/mouse raw input at #546 on the priority list... There's an interesting post on the CPM forum section which describes the challenges they face - I invite people to head on over and check it out. |
