Then he logged on for the first time in EVE Online as a player, he began to question himself "why are people playing this obviously broken game" after seeing how buggy this game was. (it was in the beginning of the game years)
So I thought the same about DUST 514:
Why are we still playing this obviously broken game?

Broken doesn't mean not fun. I still enjoy capping every week.
Plus, I have great faith in CCP's ability to make this game incredible. It won't be a quick process, but it WILL happen, and when it does, I'll be well situated. |

I play cause I'm still waiting for the second wave of PS4's to hit nearby retail stores, then I'm pretty much done (especially if 1.7 isn't as big as CCP hyped it up to be; Christmas is their last shot to win people back).

I play because I loved EVE, but it cost a monthly subscription fee. I find Dust to be my opportunity to cheaply participate in a universe that got me excited from the onset.
I also like feeling like I'm grinding with a goal. I typically don't mind the grind (raised on JRPGs), and while it can be crappy sometimes, I feel like my merc is getting better with time.
EDIT: He also goes on to say that people were making the game more interesting by taking advantage of broken mechanics. Maybe we should do the same X-D

Because after 3 or 4 named expansions from now, I believe that Dust will outshine all of the other annual bowel movements from Activision and their copycats and WILL STILL BE FREE AND GROWING.

But more important reasons are Diablo 3, Kingdoms of Amalour, Far Cry 3, Tomb Raider reboot, The Last of Us, GTA V, GT6, Assasins Creed, Dark Souls, Payday, Saints Row, Beyond, Kingdom Hearts Remix, and a few months later theres MORE games...lol.... |

He was referring to the fact the game was broken in the way he thought it was supposed to work. People didn't see the "bugs" he saw as they were playing a completely different way.

Taking a break from playing for a while. Can't give the wife the satisfaction of knowing that I wasted $150 on vet and elite packs. So I love this game (whether I like it or not) at least until June. Anything sooner and I'll never hear the end of it.
Even with its flaws, the game does have an addictive elment to it. So I will probably play it off and on until its gone.
Great job, team. Head back to the MCC for debriefing and cocktails.

I play because even as broken and unbalanced as it is its still a better experience than COD. I believe that as this game moves forward it will get better. What would be nice is an influx of new players, say double the number we have now to help dilute the waters a bit. |

I haven't really had a buggy experience with DUST really.
Its been smooth sailing, and, other then really annoying imbalances, and a pissy forum community, DUSt really is a nice, average F2P game in its own gameplay right.
Its meta (or future meta) bump the average feeling of DUST way up in my regard. Do I want a regulator, or do I want another plate? While some may say it doesn't mater, it does, and it brings out the thing I want in a game.
Where you don't have to just think "Keel de bahd guhs", and think about what they could be packing, compared to what you got, and how you can beat them with what you think they have.
While this may be a bit of overthinking considering that we have limited options, I still can enjoy the halfway battle meta.

Im not actually PLAYING it, more like mentoring n00bs.... 75% of my time is spent in this. I talk over the mic explaining Skill trees and what not to newbs than actually playing.
Just trying to avoid people suffering like me, having tons of wasted SP because they wanted to try out stuff or play differently... |

I'm not. What's the point if my shotguns continuously get shat on. I like using shotguns, I hate every other weapon. The thing that pisses me off the most is the aiming speed with it on DS3.
Plug in your mouse, a regular mouse, no internal driver settings that you can tweak, just a plain USB mouse- and compare aiming with that to the DS3.
What you'll find out is how much ridiculously faster aiming with the mouse is than the DS3. Why is this never going to be addressed? Why is this always ignored? Those of you that say "derp you have AA, lern2aim" are idiots, AA doesn't help when the majority of your enemies strafe like Speedy Gonzales on the crack, and aiming with max sensitivity is so SLOW on Ds3 that it's nearly impossible to keep the reticule on your targets. And no I'm not ADSing like a tard, I'm hipfiring, but the DS3 aiming speed is just not enough.
It's pointless to play, not fun, no point in buying any AUR if something as simple as this isn't fixed. I already have over 20 Million SP, so explain to me if I have enough SP, explain please what point is there in playing DUST? It's not fun so what's the point. Oh and my Forge Guns are getting nerfed too aren't they? Jesus almighty Tank 514 is back.
I don't know about you, but I only specced into AV because you tanking tryhards ruined Ambush. Every god d*** match, I kid you not there was a tanker. I don't like joining squads , and to kill a tank (a good one) you have to place an uplink and hives by where he will retreat once he's taken enough damage, if this isn't done he'll simply come back time after time again. Tell me how I can shotgun and win matches with gimped DS3 aiming and Tank514? How?
Make a no vehicle mode for Christs sake, please, I could live with the Matrix style aiming if you'd get rid of the vehicles in some modes.
