With real money invested in BPO items, it's understandable that people's views are strong and emotions heightened - CCP have created this situation with poor planning and loose talking.
I think CCP need to consider people's feelings above the economy, which has many more issues than BPOs and can be easily manipulated in other ways. Player retention has to be a priopriority, surely.
I had an idea that could be acceptable by most BPO owners and reduce the reported negative impact on the economy:
Maximun 2 BPOs per fitting - either BPO suit plus one BPO module / weapon / equipment or two BPO modules / weapons / equipment on an isk suit, then make the starter fits non upgradeable or remove them from players after a fixed point.

With people that have billions of ISK from a meaningless game mode that allows them to constantly run full proto without caring to lose it, BPOs aren't hurting the economy.
Let that soak in.

I'd say they need to look at ISK farming before worrying about a little ISK pinching with BPOs. |

Seems a lot like bait and switch business tactics to me. Unless I get a full cash refund I am against any removal of BPOs from the game. The fact that CCP is going down this road just leads me to believe that it is not the ingame economy that would be in trouble, but the fact that they want more money in their pockets instead with consumable AUR gear.
You have shamed yourself CCP. |

It's CCP that say they're hurting the economy not me - I was suggesting a solution that would please players with the side benefit of reducing the negative impact on the economy.
And I agree they should sort farming before BPOs but that isn't my point either.
My point was they need to address the bad feeling people are getting over their BPOs because of they way it's been managed. i.e. casualy mentioning they may get removed the same week the market was saying "get your BPOs quick before they're gone" |

To be fair, CCP is only refunding those BPOs that are for items no longer in the game.
It would be worse if they removed the item with no refund.
We can't prevent them from changing the game, and it would be a horrible idea if we could. DUST is still in early Beta so we will see more large shifts in the future before it fulfills its promise. |

I still have the yellow stamina mod bpo that once had an ISK variant before that ISK variant got removed from the market.
CCP, thank you for hotfixing the knives. But please make sure they're at their full potential in 1.7.
