My luck the day I try this would be the same day Big Papa Smurf and Spec Ops Cipher start pulling suprise attacks in enemy MCC's again.

It doesn't cost them money most of the protostompers are corp funded to run full proto in pubgames
Right now there is no reason to play so be thankful I'm suggesting they log in and go AFK rather than just not play the game ...

AFK changes nothing except how other people view you.
You don't hurt CCP. You help them because you are logged in.
You don't hurt proto squads, you help them by leaving your team short.
Do something useful like...
Remote Explosive Trap
MLT Heavy Forge Gunner
Flank and drop uplinks.
You'll probably do better than you think, and stop giving a **** about K/D.

I'd rather hurt CCP than the players. That's the only eay things will change. Unfortunately, the only legal way to hurt CCP is in the wallet and they planned for that possibility by making the game F2P. The bastards!
I'd like to do a useful protest against protostomping though.
If the pen is mightier than the sword, in a duel I'll let you have the pen!

The best way to combat proto stomping is to grab a basic scout, STD, with a pair of SMG's and a core locus grenade.
The party never stops with that bad boy.
