Luminaire GÇô Several clashes occurred along borders between Gallente- and Caldari-held districts on Caldari Prime over the weekend, but were swiftly dealt with by Mordu's Legion. According to reports, the clashes were sparked by the revelation that the Federation government has been spying on Caldari corporations.
The disturbances seem to have originated with exchanges of insults between Caldari and Gallente and escalated from there. Individuals or small groups soon swelled to small mobs on both sides. It remains uncertain which side initiated the violence, but both sides are reported to have engaged in crossing of borders to attack members of the opposite side.
Mordu's Legion, the neutral police force agreed upon by both the Caldari and Gallente governments, stepped in on each occasion to put a halt to the violence shortly after it began. The Legion deployed non-lethal riot suppression weaponry to disperse the crowds and arrested several individuals in connection with the violence.
According to official reports, all injuries have been minor, including a broken wrist of a Mannar man who resisted arrest and a Civire woman who broke her hand striking a Mordu's Legion officer in a dropsuit.
Administrative officials for the districts were quick to praise Mordu's Legion for their handling of the situation, saying, GÇ£This had the potential to grow much larger, but the professional and even-handed intervention of Mordu's Legion seems to have averted that.GÇ¥

Cool beans. Mordu does it again. Never any doubt.

The woman who broke her hand is really stupid. I mean come on punching a dropsuit. I wonder what she was trying to achieve.

It's a shame, really. The meritocracy of the Caldari's officials and the Gallente's civil liberties combined would make for an unstoppable power in the world. That we still, to this day, cannot settle on the petty differences that separate us, enlightens me to how trivial human egoism is.
Perhaps in the future we could set aside those differences and combine into one prosperous nation. There would be no limit to their reach.

Those petty differences stem from entirely difference cultures, one demanding and invasive sense of control with the benefit on massive social liberties, the other simply wishing to be left alone and true to itself the cost of its social liberties.

I am not sure how one can stay true to themselves while having no social liberties. It is like a sculptor without a chisel.

The whole survives where the one gives on himself to the community selflessly.
I would dare say its the same in Amarrian culture. Where the faithful soul gives of themselves to the Faith or the Empire, our people flourish. We sacrifice those social liberties to live by a code we believe is true and just.

Where the faithful soul gives of themselves to the Faith or the Empire, our people flourish. We sacrifice those social liberties to live by a code we believe is true and just. It is also thus in the State. We sacrifice a few freedoms, but we don't have people starving. Every one of our people has food, except those who have gone against the Corporate way, anyone who has followed your Gallente way, Aztec. That being said, anyone in the life that we live has a certain amount of freedom. Unlimited freedom, in fact, because all we have to do is wait until the leaders of our Empires fall. Perhaps then, we will see change. Until then or until such time as I get bored of the State, whoever the State says fight, I will fight, be they Gallente, Ammar, or Matari.
