When you get 2500 wps and you have no eve pilot, no OB. If you look at where the OB is coming from, the clouds around where the strike is entering don't react. It would be nice to see them parting a bit or change colors.
On the kill stat, the distance is of where the enemy player was from your position. It would be better to show the distance of where the eve pilot is.
Right now OBs are meaningless in pub matches. They come out of thin air because someone got 2500wp. Again, if you do have eve support you can use them. |

Makes no sense though, don't you see? Who's firing it? Where is this warbarge? I hear they will be manned for FW and PC. They should only be allowed if there's a pilot in space. |

The warbarge doesn't spawn over a planet in fact the war barge isn't an actual asset in EVE right now meaning not even NPCs can fly it.

It's nothing more then a Call of Duty kill streak at the moment and that's what's pissed me off since chromosome. The war barge was shown in closed beta I have seen it but it's not actually in EVE and Dust, Dust only allows you to load in to the war barge for a minute to deploy, the war barge you load in to isn't an actual in game asset just more of a wait before you deploy thing or lobby.

I'm not understanding what the problem is ????
Because of a technicality you want to take a tactical strike from someone ( who by the way might not have one any other way ) who works hard enough to gain one ????
Everyone doesn't know a pilot so why take away something that's practically a reward for hard work ????

And can you tell me if there is or is not always a pilot in space or in that area ???? Do you inform your pilots where you will be located when you are deployed for battles and if so how ????? It seems like we are placed at random , so how are you informing your pilots of where you are and in what areas you are located every time ????
And this game is not connected to Eve in every aspect because players write threads asking for that , so if you think that " IT HAS " to be connected for OB's to work , then every aspect of this game MUST be connected and not just some or one aspect , to be fair you can't pick and choose what YOU want . There is already a system and rules set in place and until those are changed this should be a non-topic .
Let's stop trying to kill rewards and perks for those who work hard because WE don't like it or can't understand why . The rules are already in place . They must change before a change can come . Hard work MUST be rewarded !!!!!!!
I was just saying how it works and my problem with it, however you could actually anchor NPC war barges over the district and actually have them firing at the requested location. And I am for removing the strikes in PC FW but not really in pubs because that is pretty much where free obs fits that more casual play style in pubs.

It's not possible to lock onto districts in a pub match, correct? How else are you supposed to get OBs?

as an active eve pilot the planets which have battles which are in pc are the easiest to get to as you have a good 10mins to fly there flying isn't instant it takes time and isn't always safe to do the most direct route as you may think some times local could have 4 other pilots in the system how ever those 4 pilots could be out there to pvp the poor Bas$ard sitting out there dropping you ungreat full fps players obs now in terms of pub matches I have never even tried to drop one nor do I think its possible I may be wrong but doubt it the ability to fly 10+ jumps to drop you a ob in the slight chance that u get one isn't worth the flight time it would take me in a unprotected frigat or what ever you are choosing to fly with. now obs are fine the way they are pc should be eve pilot only ( when the battle orca comes ( war barge of the future lol ) ) fw should be npc not only given by a eve pilot |

OBs in pubs are working as intended I guess. *Up against a proto squad that keeps raining down OBs on your head. There's also no knowledge on how OBs work. A noob knows nothing about the squad and the OB. They don't know how to use it. |

Only time i ever get orbitals is when playing with my corp, and majority of the time the players i know on eve aren't in any kind of position to get to the district where the fight is taking place for a small isk based reward. I agree it should be taken out of faction war, but not from everything. I love dropping those things on a proto squad and watching them cry. Makes the game worth it.
This game has always been a war of attrition and the people with more expensive **** want stuff that kills their expensive **** removed. How it is across the board most of the time. Of course there are a few exceptions. I'm a scout and I have no issues with tanks for example. Neither does my plasma cannon. It occasionally gets to eat one as well.
