I've heard some people get way too worked up about Dust 514 (I won't name names, you know who you are), so I figured we as a community could help these poor souls by providing easy access to short, free online games to play so they can cool off before they blow up over the mics.
My suggestion: /b/EAR GUNNER

GTA V is fun to just chill out on. You do not have to do missions. Just run around the city causing chaos in the story mode without doing the missions. That way you do not have to worry about idiots or trolls in the online portion. Besides, I never cared for the online in GTA games anyway. |

Its not free but just go mining or crafting in ffxiv. Block all the chat channels remove all other players names and just mine, chop wood, fish or craft in complete peace. Really nice relaxing way to doze off. |

Sonic Generations for PS3.
It is really fun, originally bought it so I could play something with my lil'bro. Still too much fun. Awesome music. It is the type of game you play for 5 minutes and it feels like an hour has passed. Just satisfies your desires.
It is not an online game, but you know that the best games aren't online.
Madness is the emergency exit. You can just step outside, and close the door on all those dreadful things that happened.

i get to 13 rescued and about 120+ kills then i run out of ammo.. 
EDIT: i beat it with 412 bear kills...  (seven trys)
